To-Do Tuesday #265 Weekly Update

Join us today for the 265th weekly To-Do Tuesday list and update. Linda hosts the To-Do Tuesday linky party and we thank you so much, Linda!

To-Do for the week of July 12th through 18th:

  1. Project for the UFO blog hop – √ Kind of/sort of not done yet
  2. Start something??√ Done
  3. NO more – stress-free motto adherence!

To-Do #1

Finish a UFO project for the upcoming blog hop (July 28th is our day). Doesn’t that charge sound so easy to accomplish? We have a great number of unquilted yet already layered tops just languishing away. I could pick one of those to just complete finally.

This really nifty quilt top is from 2019 and is called Make Ours A Double. Look at those polka dots coupled with a red and blue bandana print. ~SWOON~

Just a couple of other potential choices include Beothuk, 2020 Monthly Color Challenge blocks, and the 4-Patch-Plus. Some of these projects even had a quilting plan shared, yet they still were set aside. If I got a wiggle on, it could potentially be a fabulous month toward improving a year plagued by finish excuses. What and how will we choose?!!

To-Do #2

Sue has been playing around with these three pretty fabrics. It’s not quite the season for red, white, and blue since Independence Day has passed. However, Labor Day in the USA is rapidly approaching in early September. Being patriotic is always in season in my book. Where these three fabrics end up is a mystery to all of us. I never noticed the built-in quilting design highlighted easily on the blue and the red print. That should make the decision of how to quilt the unknown item much easier, huh?! Swirls it is.

To-Do for the week of July 19th through 25th:

  1. Pick something and start working on it (please)
  2. Maybe I can only handle ONE thing per week?!!
  3. Two limit list for another stress-free week!

  1. I love it when there is a pattern on the fabric that guides the fmq. Ah yes feel your pain over all the tops to fmq to have a finish. They are all lovely, I hope you do choose one and get going on it, although I guess the weather is warm to hot for quilting.

The UFO blog hop … you have so many pretty choices! I can’t wait to see which one you choose!

  3. I like the bandanna & polka dots together…you and your polka dots!
    🙂

  4. Rochelle Summers says:

Good luck on making a choice. All of those UFOs are pretty. It’s too hot to work on the black one. And having only one project is okay too. Sometimes when I have more than one project, NOTHING gets done because I can’t focus on either one. I vote for staying cool and enjoying the summer.

ROFL! Pick something and do something…so much my mantra these days. I am having a hard time getting into the groove too! Wishing you luck on finishing at least one of those UFOs!

  6. I vote for “Make Ours a Double” as your UFO to finish, Roseanne! I love that design. Really, though – any of your UFOs would be lovely finishes!

  7. “Pick something and start working on it (please)”…should be in italics…maybe all caps, too. Ha, ha! 🙂

I think I may remember the start of that nifty quilt. The bandana fabric caught my eye immediately, before any mention of swooning was read! It’s a great quilt. Looks like we’re kind of in the same “get things finished”. mode! We can do this!

  9. You have a great array from which to choose!! Personally, I like the one with the black background, but then they are all so pretty!! Have fun with your choice.

  10. Wendy says:

Such pretty stars with polka dots, and Sue is playing with some pretty fabric, too! I hope you grab a UFO and get ‘er done. If you don’t, it’s okay, too! Sending an inspirational hug!

  11. Vicki in MN says:

Love the patriotic fabrics, and I am with you it’s red white and blue season all the time! Okay focus now😉 on the UFO!! I should have joined that hop.

  12. Linda says:

Love this statement: “Being patriotic is always in season in my book”! You have such pretty quilts to choose on finishing, looking forward to seeing which you choose for your hop day.
Thank you for sharing with us at To Do Tuesday!

You do have some great quilt tops to choose from! My motivation went on vacation so I had to force myself to sew last night. I finally got back in the groove while listening to a good podcast. I hope you find inspiration too!
