To-Do Tuesday #242 Weekly Update

Join us today for the 242nd weekly To-Do Tuesday list and update. Gladys Taber wrote, “Contentment is a list with half of it crossed off.” We are joining Linda as the host of the To-Do Tuesday linky party. She is doing a fabulous job and we thank her for that!

To-Do for the week of January 25th through 31st:

  1. Round Three in the SAHRR √ Done
  2. Continue the appliqué blocks for Colt’s quilt – √ Done
  3. Short list = stress-free! – √ Done

To Do #1

The Round Three prompt for the Stay At Home Round Robin 2022 (SAHRR) was announced just yesterday right here on our blog! We chose a star in spite of already having a star being our center block. We took the wonky star route similar to what we did last year but don’t feel like you need to as well.

Each individual wonky star block measures 6.5″ unfinished. I also shared that we are taking our piece in a different direction from the wall hanging we were making. Addison needs a dresser runner for her new big girl dresser that she just received. We’re on it! Also, don’t forget we have an open linky party to share your progress.

To-Do #2

One golf ball has been completed and I am happy with how it came together. This is probably the easiest of all the blocks! Just one trip around

I wanted to give you a close-up shot of the background fabric we chose for the golf ball. It’s a pale gray with various sprinkles of brown and tan and blue . . . We used the same grass fabric that is the background on the football. Seven blocks finished, twenty-three to go.

To-Do for the week of February 1st through 7th:

  1. Work on the Round Four prompt for the SAHRR
  2. Do more appliqué blocks for Colty’s quilt – there are a total of 23 blocks to go
  3. Start a baby quilt inspired by Quilting Gail’s Polar Bear Plunge post
  4. That’s it – a short, stress-free list! This is the limit for the length of the list in order to continue stress-free!

  4. All the best with the wonky star round, so interesting to see how these tops are working out. You will get there with Colt’s quilt, the fun is in the doing and thinking of Colt. All those blocks gives you so much time to delight in the thought of him. Keep the stress free going.

I like the way you are planning your weeks. A few blocks for Colt, the SAHRR and I see you added a new item. It’s nice to hear from you 2 days in a row. That golf ball is just right with the speckles on it and I love the grass fabric. Are you still doing jigsaw puzzles? Hope you are staying healthy and WARM!
