To-Do Tuesday #233 Weekly Update

Join us today for the 233rd weekly To-Do Tuesday list and update. Gladys Taber wrote, “Contentment is a list with half of it crossed off.” We are joining Linda who is hosting the To-Do Tuesday linky party. Thank you, Linda!

To-Do for last week November 2nd – 8th:

Another week of doing nothing or aimlessly wandering about the sewing room, you ask?? Heck no! Look what came back home from their spa treatment:

Purring like a happy kitty named Wilbur (Wilbs!), I was tickled pink to install it back in its table. I did a thorough job of cleaning it during my wanderings. What is a girl to do with her Ellie sewing machine back home?? Well, get a-quilting a certain ballerina top for a sweet girl. See it back there behind Ellie? It was waiting quite patiently, I might add.

Lest you forget who the sweet girl is, here she is sporting her Elsa braid that reaches her knees and her spiffy tiara.

  1. Nada until Ellie came home! – √ Done
  2. Lots of wandering and internet browsing – √ Done

To-Do #1

Ellie’s home! Yippee! The ballerina quilt is one-fourth quilted in a two-inch grid pattern using a light purple thread.

Nice even stitches, not a single skipped stitch in sight. The spa stay was necessary and so worthwhile.

To-Do #2

Internet browsing is so easy to do, isn’t it? My email is loaded each day with oodles of tempting inspiration. Either it’s a blog post from a friend – I’m NOT calling anyone out – you KNOW who you are – or from retailers like the Fat Quarter Shop, MSQC, and many more. Three projects that came on my radar during the Ellie spa treatment: a new baby due in May; Colt deserves a quilt made by us because he’s lacking; and finally . . .

our little zebra, Chase, has new bedroom curtains. They have dinosaurs on them, hence the need for a new quilt of some sort. Actually, I just wanted to share some new littles pictures before Thursday. I think I did a fabulous job sneaking them in this post, don’t you?!

To-Do for the week of November 9th – November 15th:

  1. Back to work on the ballerina quilt!!
  2. Something else – I can’t remember what’s pending!! Probably a table topper . . .
  3. I’m so excited to be sewing again! I missed Ellie.

  1. Hurray for Ellie returning home and purring so sweetly. Love the way you snuck the sweet photos in. Good luck on finishing that Ballerina.

I know how you must have missed Ellie! Although I regularly clean the bobbin area, I know mine needs a ‘spa day’ soon but I hate to part with it. My sewing room and machine are my refuge.
Always enjoyable to see the littles! Oh how they grow so fast. Love the Elsa braid!

How great that Ellie is back and all spiffed up from her Spa visit! And now happily quilting that lovely Tula Pink ballerina quilt! … So just how much did you buy while enjoying time browsing?!

Let’s hear it for a successful spa day! Yay! That is a rather impressive Elsa braid btw. I have my own set of internet fabric temptations (MSQC and fabric.com, occasionally FQS and a few others) but then there is Instagram and Pinterest that are purely “research” and end up being inspirational. Far too much time on the former rather than the latter for me I guess. Anyhoo, yes adorable pics–just wanna snuggle that little zebra and makes me kinda miss my boys being little! Now, off you go to sew up a storm and may the stitches be with you!

Great that Ellie is home again and already working hard! Your little ones are very cute 🙂 xx

  8. Hooray for Ellie coming back, and all spiffed up, too! Quilting on Addison’s quilt sounds like it’s going well now. I bet you’re bursting with things you want to get to, Roseanne. Have a great week!

  9. Rochelle Summers says:

Congratulations on Ellie’s return. I’m sure the spa treatment was very worthwhile. Going great guns on that ballerina quilt for the beautiful young Addie and wow look at that smile on Chase. Is the new baby a brother or sister for Colt? Wouldn’t that be wonderful? You are going to be one busy Auntie. And thanks for some “interim” photos. Love them.

  10. Linda says:

“Purring like Wilbs” – lol and yay! So glad you completed your goals last week – hee-hee! 😀 I know, I know, there is so much temptation everywhere we look, right? Sometimes I think about unsubscribing from quilt shops, but nope! Your Littles are adorable. Is her braid a fake one, or is her hair that long?
Thank you for linking to To Do Tuesday, and may your week be a happy one. 🙂

  11. Kathleen McCormick says:
