To-Do Tuesday #27 & Monday Musing

Two of our friends host a weekly linky party. Brenda at Songbird Designs has a Monday linky party called Monday Musings. Our friend Carol at Quilt Schmidt hosts To-Do Tuesday with a linky party as well. We will share our weekly updates on both of their websites.

Countdown and Walk Challenge Update:

There are only 49 days (including today!) to go in 2023! My walking stats for last week with a goal of 10,500/day:

  • 11/6 = 11,245
  • 11/7 = 12,864
  • 11/8 = 11,488
  • 11/9 = 11,671
  • 11/10 = 9,972
  • 11/11 = 11,650
  • 11/12 = 10,795

To-Do for last week:

  1. Longarm quilting at Carol’s house
  2. Two limit list for a stress-free week

To-Do #1 Extra plus Quilting

A few months back I saw this Christmas kit pictured on Facebook, and I decided to order it. It is complete with all of the fabric including the backing and a pattern. I pulled out the pattern – actually, I tripped on it when it threw itself at me when I entered the sewing room – and started playing around with a couple of triangles. That’s as far as I got because my attention span is zip lately. There’s little hope it will be finished this year . . . but ya just never know.

Last Friday, we spent a wonderful day with our friend Carol. We have a ’31 bag’ that we devote to goodies going to Carol’s house. Our bag this time contained a WE Christmas Cookbook for 2023, three Wisconsin Badgers table runners waiting to be quilted, and two penguin hexagon toppers waiting to be quilted.

Oh yes, we got all five items quilted in less than two hours! We even loaded Carol’s commission quilt on Millie, ready for her to get busy with when the feeling strikes. Now I need to get busy with some bindings.

What To-Do Next Week?

  1. Binding the five toppers and hand sew them down
  2. Maybe nothing – no stress!

  1. You did great getting five items quilted in two hours, ladies!! All that binding will definitely keep you busy. I hope you have fun working on your Forest Dwellers project. It will be fun…even if you don’t get it finished this year! But..maybe you will!

    Great step counts! Woohoo!
My attention span isn’t great lately either–what’s up with that?–but I know you can get the Forest Dwellers done before Christmas. C’mon, you got this! And sure, no stress–make it fun with some Christmas music, movie or audiobook? (That helps my attention!)

I love how you schedule no stress!! I need to remember that. Or schedule “Say No”. LOL! Love the progress and I am sure the Christmas item will get done!

You did great getting all those tops quilted. Yes, you will have plenty to do this week if you bind all of them. The smiling faces behind the quilts is the best!

  5. That looks like a fun Christmas project to be working on at this time of year, Roseanne! I love the gnomes peeking out between the trees. Great job getting lots of quilting done on those projects, too! Happy Monday!

  6. Doesn’t it feel terrific to check off a bunch of smaller projects? Great job, you and Millie with Carol’s guidance!
