To-Do Tuesday #26 & Monday Musing

Two of our friends host a weekly linky party. Brenda at Songbird Designs has a Monday linky party called Monday Musings. Our friend Carol at Quilt Schmidt hosts To-Do Tuesday with a linky party as well. We will share our weekly updates on both of their websites.

Countdown and Walk Challenge Update:

There are only 56 days (including today!) to go in 2023! My walking stats for last week with a goal of 10,500/day:

  • 10/30 = 11,426
  • 10/31 = 10,923
  • 11/1 = 12,466
  • 11/2 = 11,975
  • 11/3 = 11,502
  • 11/4 = 11,337
  • 11/5 = 12,066

I am so happy to be meeting my goal each day. I know that there are days that I won’t . . . like later this week when we’re quilting with Carol!

To-Do for last week:

  1. Continue working on the Wisconsin Badgers t-shirt projects
  2. Two limit list for a stress-free week

To-Do #1

The Wisconsin Badgers hexagon table topper is complete and has been quilted. The center is from a t-shirt as is the black border. The final outside border consists of WB logo fabric in cotton. We’ll be quilting the three table runners later this week at Carol and Ken’s home. Those three runners will use up the WB fabric with maybe enough leftovers to make a journal cover. I guess we’ll see about that.

We used the black paint-splash fabric for the backing which is so nice as it doesn’t show quilting mistakes. I chose a gray thread for the top and black for the bobbin – the gray seemed to blend in fairly well in an overall stipple stitch.

What To-Do Next Week?

  1. Quilting session at Carol’s!
  2. Maybe nothing – no stress!

  1. Very cool table topper, and I love the backing. Did you do a little hip hop dance to the House of Pain “Jump Around” while you were sewing it? 😉

  2. What a great finish and cute table topper! I hope you have a great week!

  3. What a neat idea for a table topper!! The stippling looks perfect. I’m off to do some stationary bicycling and will add it to my steps. Hubs and I have discovered that treadmill and stationary bike are the secret to taking off pounds. Mine are going off slowly but what a motivation to walk! So thank you and Cheree for that motivation. Enjoy the rest of your week!

What a fun finish….and we do love those backings that hide any errors…although I doubt there are any. Great job on your walking…

Nice way to use t-shirts without tackling a quilt. These can be seen in the living area and put out especially for Game Day!! So happy you are going to have a quilt session with your friends. It is so nice to enjoy a day with people you like and accomplish something fun, too. Glad to see your your steps continuing to accumulate! Congratulations. Hugs and smiles.

Cute idea for a table topper, and I like your choice of backings, too. “Jump Around” makes me think of your littles 🙂
