To-Do #52+50 Weekly Recap Update

This is our 102nd edition of our weekly to-do list.  We share this post on Beth’s Cooking Up Quilts and at Becca’s What I Made Monday website on Mondays, and Christine’s Stitch All the Things website on Tuesdays.  Check out what our friends are sharing!

To-Do for the week of March 18th through 24th:

  1. Continue quilting Dumbo baby quilt – √ done
  2. Add binding to Spring Wave √ done
  3. Start on a secret sewing project – √ done

To-Do #1

We finished our sweet Dumbo baby quilt that we made for a coworker.  She will be giving it away to her niece who is expecting her first baby in July.  Her niece and husband just recently found out that they are expecting a baby girl.  I’ll share all of the details in our March OMG post, but here is a sneak peek.  Some quilting is complete here plus I was messing around with other quilting ideas on my acrylic board.

To-Do #2

Sue has been hand quilting Spring Wave and she has it all finished.  I added the binding and was more than happy to tack it down by hand.  Here’s a shot of the binding, the quilting shapes and the cute backing fabric we chose.

To-Do #3

This will make you smile!  Sue read our blog post last Monday night and asked “what’s our secret sewing project?”  I reminded her . . . and she said “oh yeah.”  I can’t really share a photo because, you know, it’s a secret.  I can say it involves appliqué!

To-Do Extra

Remember the Wapush List from Friday?  We did get quite a bit of that list complete over the weekend.  Hidden Star is a quilt top, Dr Seuss is off the design wall although only draped over a chair,  and both bindings are done.  Woot woot!

March OMG

Our March goal with Patty at Elm Street Quilts is to complete a Dumbo baby quilt for a coworker.  Quilting completed this weekend.

To-Do for the week of March 25th through March 31st

  1. Start working on the Harley t-shirt quilt
  2. Get the darn borders on Dr. Seuss – seriously get it done!

Hello Roseanne, You definitely had the sewing machine going full tilt and boogie all weekend to accomplish all of your goals! Great job ladies!! The Dumbo quilt is looking fantastic and I know that I can not wait to see the whole quilt revealed to see what wonderful quilting you have done. The hand quilting that Sue has done on Spring Wave is incredible! Sue, how long did it take you to do it? Because I just can not remember when you started and of course do not know how much time here and there you had to stitch. It is just lovely and I would love to be able to do that, yet I do not think I have the patience. Thank you for sharing all of your great projects, ladies. Have a spectacular day! Smiles and Hugs being sent your way…..
