To-Do Tuesday #246 Weekly Update

Join us today for the 246th weekly To-Do Tuesday list and update. Linda hosts the To-Do Tuesday linky party and we appreciate her weekly encouragement. Thank you, Linda!

To-Do for the week of February 22nd through 28th:

  1. Finish our piece in the SAHRR √ Done
  2. Five complete apple blocks for Violet – √ Done
  3. Quilt Beau Bear baby quilt – √ Done
  4. Short list limit = stress-free

To Do #1

Well, our Stay At Home Round Robin piece is all finished and even adoring Addison’s dresser now. But alas, I cannot share further details until the quilt parade on the 21st of March. We have to leave you wanting more . . . perhaps even a new twirling video. One never knows!

To-Do #2

The five little apple blocks for sweet baby Violet are all finished and delivered to her grandmother to complete the quilt top. We alternated the leaf placement so that the quilt top would have some variety beyond the scrappy red fabrics chosen. They were fun to make!

This will be a very similar layout and it uses the same pattern as the pumpkin quilt for Violet’s older sister, Alice. The pattern is by Cluck, Cluck, Sew and it will be comprised of six rows of six apples. Alice’s finished at 69″ x 86″ and I expect Violet’s will be a similar size.

To-Do #3

Beau Bear baby quilt for Baby M is all ready to go. The baby is due in May with a baby shower planned for April. I’ll share all the final details later, once it has been gifted away. I can share a sweet picture of the backing fabric and the nice grid pattern formed by basic stitching in the ditch quilting.

To-Do for the week of March 1st through 7th:

How, oh how, can it be the end of February??!! Now that I mind moving closer to Spring.

  1. Balls for Colt’s quilt – basketball anyone? There are 19 more blocks to make
  2. Back on the Two By Four leader/ender project – Hands 2 Help is starting soon!!
  3. Start a new mini-project – could have been a SAL but is not
  4. No mas – just enough to keep it stress-free!

  1. Great week, Roseanne! I love those apple blocks. I’m so looking forward to seeing Addison’s dresser runner!

  2. Can’t wait to see your SAHRR!!! I bet Addison is in LOVE with it! Especially since she picked the fabric for her name!
The apple blocks look pretty cool. Will you be able to show us a picture of the completed quilt? I do hope so! 🙂

  3. Oh Roseanne I just love those apple blocks. Could almost eat them and alternating the leaf was a good idea. Okay so back to the appliqué! Will look forward to seeing the finishes when it is the right time.

Cute apples!!! It will be a sweet quilt. Good luck with your goals. I gotta start making smaller lists! LOL

  5. Those apple blocks are so fun, Roseanne! I love scrappy patchwork that makes a shape like that. The backing for Beau Bear is adorable, too. You’re leaving us longing to see your finishes – I’ll look forward to that!

Two finishes this week! Even though I can’t see them yet, I’m sure they are beautiful. I LOVE red and those apples are so pretty. That quilt will be yummy. I hope we get to see a picture of it when Grandma finishes putting it together. Your list looks doable. I know you won’t do all 19 of those balls this week. That would not be stress free. And yes, spring is trying very hard to appear. Last Monday it barely made it to 32. Yesterday it was 68! Have a great stress-free week.
