To-Do Tuesday #219 Weekly Update

Join us today for the 219th weekly To-Do Tuesday list and update. Gladys Taber wrote, “Contentment is a list with half of it crossed off.” We are joining Chris at her To-Do Tuesday linky party.

To-Do for the week of June 29th – July 5th:

  1. Make another 12 ALL of the Corner Plus blocks – √ Done
  2. Determine our July OMG project – √ Done
  3. Have fun with a doll parade of our littles – YES!! (More on Thursday)

To-Do #1 and To-Do #2

We are focusing on one of our quilts for the Positivity QAL this month. Preeti is hosting the summer-long event while Bernie at Needle and Foot hosted the very first linky party last week. July 18th is the next linky party for everyone to share their quilt tops! We managed to get all 48 blocks complete and here’s a pile of the blocks. Also, here’s our layout – I started picking row one up before taking a photo. Oops!

This cutting department a.k.a., Sue, has been working on cutting out the fabric for the second version of the Positivity quilt. This is our OMG project as well!

To-Do – Just A Little Extra

We are also starting the applique project for a big girl quilt for Addison. You will see in the photo below that we’re using Tula Pink’s True Color Fairy Dust in a pale grey. There is a whole lot more applique to go for this full-size quilt.

July OMG

We have our July OMG project linked to Patty’s Elm Street Quilts website. We are concentrating on the Positivity quilts this month.

To-Do for the week of July 6th – 12th:

  1. Start working on the Positivity rows
  2. Continue appliqueing Addison’s quilt
  3. Start sewing the second Positivity blocks together

  10. The different colors of the 4-patch in the corners of the positivity quilt blocks really pulls the quilt together – almost seems counter-intuitive, but it works!
The ballet slipper applique is darling…can’t wait to see what other appliques you have up you sleeve, Roseanne!

Tula’s Fairy Dust fabric is perfect for this project! Our little ballerina is now 12 going on 20 🙂 but I have picked out some wonderful pink and black fabric for her a quilt. I hope to get hers done for Christmas as the boys got their quilts last Christmas!!
