To-Do Tuesday #212 Weekly Listing Update

Join us today for the 212th weekly To-Do Tuesday list and update. Gladys Taber wrote, “Contentment is a list with half of it crossed off.” We are joining Chris at her To-Do Tuesday linky party.

To-Do for the week of May 11th – 17th:

  1. Make the four yellow Follow blocks – √ Done
  2. Sew a few more Road to OK blocks – √ Done
  3. Hide Jack the ripper – no more ripping please – √ Done

To-Do #1

We joined Sandra’s quilt-along called Follow Your Own Path which started in early April. Last week, we did complete all four red blocks. After some back and forth discussion between Sue and me, we are going to place the darker fabric arrow on the bottom.

Here is the lovely yellow Kona solid strips for row three and our progress so far. Next up is green followed by blue arrows.

To-Do #2

The Road to Oklahoma block is our May One Monthly Goal project. As a Hands-to-Help (H2H) project, it will be given to a local veteran and a man that I admire. Also, we have a hard deadline of June 2nd when there will be a small, informal gathering. I’d better get sewing!

Five more blocks were sewn together for a total of 13 complete but I didn’t get another row together yet. Now I’ve got HSTs galore to make and more four-patch blocks, too.

To-Do #3

While Jack the ripper had been in use more during May 2021 than ever before it has now been stored away for the duration of the month (I hope)! While I have your attention – new and notable, my friend Preeti is going to be starting a new QAL on May 30. It called the Positivity Quilt Along and it runs through September at a nice pace.

May OMG

Our one monthly goal (OMG) project for May is to complete the 35 blocks needed for the Quilt of Valor (QOV) gift and Hands2Help project. Patty at Elm Street Quilts hosts a monthly linky party which we did join at the beginning of the month.

To-Do for the week of May 18th through 24th:

  1. Rows five and six in the Follow QAL with green arrows
  2. Sew to the halfway point in the QOV
  3. That’s enough because both have to be finished soon!

You are on a roll!! I love the colors of your arrows and that background is a wonderful choice. I’m looking at Preeti’s Positivity quilt a long and trying to decide if I can start one more project!! LOL. Good luck on your goals.

  9. Roseanne, I like the way you and Sue are sewing your arrows and your rows together at the same time for the QAL! Great idea! Good luck on completing your OMG. You can do it!

OH your follow your own path is striking – love the colors! And of course I love the Road to Oklahoma. I have that pattern somewhere in my stash of many patterns.

Hit the road, Jack! Your blocks are all coming along nicely! I need to read up on the Positivity QAL; I saw the post but got distracted. Imagine that . . .
