To-Do Tuesday #207 Weekly Listing Update

Join us today for the 207th weekly To-Do Tuesday list and update. Gladys Taber wrote, “Contentment is a list with half of it crossed off.” The overachievers that we are, we strive for a fully crossed-off list!

To-Do for the week of March 30th – April 5th:

  1. Work on the Easter table runner for Janice – √ Done
  2. Come up with a new April OMG project – √ Done
  3. Make a birth announcement for Chase – √ Done

To-Do #1

Time to make another Easter table runner similar to the one we made for ourselves earlier last Fall. We still had some of the plaid fabric left over from the first topper to form the background for the three bunnies.

I had made a paper template for the center area especially for this runner – I didn’t want to have to try to match the plaids on six wedge pieces. Once the backing was cut, I ironed on the bunny faces and ears and got to the appliqué phase. It’s so satisfying to watch this come together.

In a marathon session on Saturday, the colorful sashes were quickly added along with the final 3″ borders. After some quick quilting (and three more videos) it has been delivered to Sissy.

To-Do #2

It wasn’t too hard to come up with an April OMG (one-monthly goal) project since we are playing along with Shelly at Prairie Moon Quilts in a panel challenge. It’s simple enough – just finish a panel into a quilt, wall hanging, or anything else of your choosing by the end of April. I guess this would be considered a two-fer. We’re going to do something with the Paris panel and I wrote all about it in our April OMG post from last week. Finally, I think we’ll find a use for this fabric as well!

To-Do #3

Sweet baby Chase, who was born on February 26th, was lacking in the birth announcement category. What kind of great-aunts are we that forgot to make one?! Needless to say, once we realized our oversight we remedied the issue immediately. A little hand appliqué followed by machine buttonholing and quilting and we had a winner. Just in time to hang in his new bedroom which is closer to mom and dad.

April OMG

Our one monthly goal (OMG) project for April is the Paris panel completion in a quilt of some sort. Patty at Elm Street Quilts hosts a monthly linky party which we did join at the beginning of the month.

To-Do for the week of April 6th through 12th:

  1. Complete the March and April monthly blocks
  2. Make a few more masks
  3. Decide on a layout for the panel project

You were a busy lady last week. Both the table runner and the birth announcement are cute. Smart to save that paper pattern to use on the plaid. Good luck this week.

That birth announcement is soooo cute and yay for a last-minute Easter finish! Will be watching for the panel finish–love French/Paris-themed things. Always meant to make a quilt as a reminder of our trip there but hasn’t happened yet. It’s also a bucket-list thing for me to become fluent in French but that doesn’t seem to be happening either. Well, c’est la vie!
