To-Do Tuesday #208 Weekly Listing Update

Join us today for the 208th weekly To-Do Tuesday list and update. Gladys Taber wrote, “Contentment is a list with half of it crossed off.” We are joining Chris at her To-Do Linky party at Chris Knits.

To-Do for the week of April 6th – 12th:

  1. Complete the March and April blocks – √ Done
  2. Make a few more masks – √ Done
  3. Decide on a layout for the panel project – √ Done

To-Do #1

We have been behind all year so far on the Monthly Challenge blocks as well as our first attempt at joining in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. April is the month we are going to get caught up and stay that way.

The first three photos are Monthly Color Challenge blocks, March (red-orange for yams), April (red for cherries), and our first four blocks together. Following that is our green RSC block for March, the blue block for April, and the first three blocks for January, February, and March. Phew!

To-Do #2

Sue’s mom and dad are both now fully vaccinated and just past the two-week post-shot recommendation. While they’re not ready to go full-tilt out and about, they did go into Menard’s to look at bathroom fixtures for a summer project. We thought it was about time that they each had a new mask so we whipped up two. The only thing better would be if I had a picture of them modeling these!

To-Do #3

Thanks to Chris, who hosts the weekly To-Do linky party, I pulled up EQ8 to work on Paris panel layout options. Chris is so well versed in using EQ8 that she can try out quilting designs – I hope to try that myself! Anyway, I uploaded a picture of the panel as well as the matching Paris fabric into the software.

One of these designs will be the ticket but first, we have to find some fabric to closely match the umbrella in the photo. I think this warrants our first mini-road trip to a local quilt shop, don’t you?! And soon, since the end of the month is rapidly approaching . . .

April OMG

Our one monthly goal (OMG) project for April is the Paris panel completion in a quilt of some sort. Patty at Elm Street Quilts hosts a monthly linky party which we did join at the beginning of the month.

To-Do for the week of April 13th through 19th:

  1. Start working on the Road to Oklahoma quilt blocks
  2. Choose the layout for Paris and buy fabric(s)

I love that panel. The two reds in RSC block would be a good match for the panel.

Such wonderful finishes this week. I love the Paris panel and think whichever design you choose will be lovely. A trip to the LQS sounds like fun! Hope you find what you are looking for.

  3. Good for you two, getting all caught up on monthly blocks! I’m wondering if I need to make my mom some more masks, too. She’s moving from Arizona to Colorado, and I think we are stricter on the masks here. Guess I’d better ask her! Looking forward to seeing your Paris panel design!

Fun to see your blocks from the two challenges! They are gorgeous! Almost all my family has been vaccinated! Our youngest granddaughter and her fiancé are almost there. Under 30 and living in Vermont! But soon! Son in CA got his J& J vaccine on Friday! No problems!
Still wearing masks and making good choices!
