Second Sew Along Begins Today!
It’s time for the second sew along to start. Several people have already said they are participating, and there is still plenty of time to join in. This is a no stress, no deadline, no prize sew along, just for fun. Back in early June there was a vote held to determine which pattern would be chosen for the sew along. The winner was announced, and that winner is that there was a tie! So, all three patterns may be selected for this very unique sew along.

Share Your Sew Along Choice
Be sure to add your name in the comments below along with your quilt choice if you would like to join in. Sue and I will be starting with option #1, Up From Here. I say starting with because we may just end up making all three of them. ~smile~ We shall see about that as Sue says NO WAY.
Second Sew Along Participants
- Liz Horgan – undecided but choosing between #1 and #3
- Karla from My Sewful Retirement is also deciding between #1 and #3

Still Time to Join In the Sew Along
That is an impressive list for our second round of a sew along! I am very intrigued with Shannon’s idea to make 12″ blocks for her version of Up From Here. The original pattern creates a 24″ block and you can imagine how quickly that quilt top goes together! We will be sharing our fabric selection shortly. In case you’re wondering what the first sew along was, we just recently shared an update on all the finished Regatta quilts.
Our other Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on. We would love to see them!
Have a wonderful time! 😊♥️
I think I’m jumping in. I’ll make the triangle star. I have some bright Tula Pinks that I want to use. Can’t start till August but I hope to catch up!.
When you say no deadline….what does that mean. After seeing Rose’s version of number one I’m thinking I might make it as well….as a donation quilt…..but not until August at least.
How fun! Number 1 looks good but I’ll have to see how my schedule is going but as you say no deadline 🙂
And the dithering is over! My fabric choices will be published Thursday. I love them!
I do believe I will join in with Up From Here. I’ve been feeling kind of down and it’s time to get back up!
I would have a hard time choosing between the 3. Which one are you doing?
I’m dithering over fabric!
I plan to hop in this year even though I still want to make Regatta!! Not sure which one (dang! that Up From Here uses the same technique I did, which I thought I invented!!! in Plus Playtime! Who knew…) I will make but that one and the Triangle Free stars one are my choices.
I wish I had time, but I think I better sit this one out:(
Well I happen to be making my A Snowball’s Chance as we speak. My niece, bless her heart, has asked me to make this quilt for her when if first published at the Moda Bake Shop last year…I know…she is a patient soul. I am using the Merry Go Round prints by Sandy Klop for Moda Fabrics but Molly asked that I only use 4 instead of the Layer Cake. I have all the snowball corners sewn and am in the process of trimming them and cutting the blocks in half. As the poor girl has waited an entire year for her quilt, here’s to hoping it is done sooner rather than later! I may need to jump on the other two quilt patterns when this one is done :0)
Hello Roseann and Sue; I honestly doubt that I will be able to participate in this QAL with all of you. I have two quilts that must be finished soon and I also made a promise to myself that before I began any more quilts, I would completely finish the other quilts laying in totes waiting for borders and then quilting to become gifts, by the end of this year. So far, I am doing pretty darn good. Yet, if I do join in….I would make Up From Here. Just a question, but how long do you have this QAL last for? That would also give me a better idea if I will commit to making this? Thank you for all of your fun positive energy! Have a fantastic day!!
I picked up my fabrics and plan to start soon.
I may or may not have started making my blocks! Okay, I did!!! I’ve got a few up on my design wall and it is looking good!
I’m still in! I’ve decided to make #3 as a mini just to practice sewing triangles. I have a layer cake or two for #2 and would need to purchase fabric to make #1. Choices Choices — what’s a girl to do 🙂
I’ll be making Up from Here. I may make it mini though . . .
I would LOVE to join along in the fun Roseanne! #3 is just singing to me❤️❤️
Hi Tracy! I apologize – your comment was in the Spam folder and I just found it now. I’ll add you to the list! Thank you for playing along. Happy Saturday! ~smile~ Roseanne
