October 2021 Monthly Color Challenge Block
Here it is, the first Friday in October 2021. We have been playing along with Jen’s Monthly Color Challenge blocks. Today we are sharing our October block along with several other blogger friends.
October Pink Grapefruit
Jen has selected fruits and vegetables as a focus this year. Pink grapefruit is the featured fruit for October and I am a huge lover of grapefruit of all types. I did a little digging in an old recipe box and found a delicious recipe for a cake that includes pink grapefruit in its ingredients. Of course, I had to make it! I wouldn’t want to share a recipe untried or not yet tasted. I can attest that it is easy to make and tasty. Here’s a website with a Pink Grapefruit Cake recipe that is very similar to my mom’s old recipe!

October Monthly Color Challenge Block
I almost forgot about sharing our block, so without further adieu . . . here it is!
The two-tone bright pink is going to be a fun addition to the 2021 monthly color blocks. It is a little difficult to distinguish the exact pattern, though, isn’t it?!

Roseanne the block is so cute, but my heart stopped when I checked out the recipe. I love pink grapefruit and just have to make this cake.
Your block is very cute!! I may even have to try that pink grapefruit cake. Of course, no one but ME would eat it! DH says fruit and vegetables are what food eats! LOL

I love pink grapefruit! Thank you for the recipe. Hubby is allergic, but perhaps I can bake it for company sometime…maybe use my sisters as guinea pigs. Ha, ha! 🙂
