To-Do Tuesday #38 & Monday Musing

Two of our friends host a weekly linky party. Brenda at Songbird Designs has a Monday linky party called Monday Musings. Our friend Carol at Quilt Schmidt hosts To-Do Tuesday with a linky party as well. We will share our weekly updates on both of their websites.

Walk Challenge Update:

My goal is 10,500 steps a day, and *20-30 minutes of yoga. How did I do last week?

  • 2/11 = 12,334*
  • 2/12 = 12,739*
  • 2/13 = 13,948*
  • 2/14 = 11,230*
  • 2/15 = 12,216*
  • 2/16 = 13,501*
  • 2/17 = 13,021*

Coming Up:

We will be a participant for the first time in the 2024 Villa Rosa Designs blog hop on March 15th. Running from March 14 through 21, it’s called Fast & More Fun Blog Hop. VRD has all of its designs on a postcard and they cost only $2 each. New designs are being released just for the hop and our day will be March 15th. Here’s a sneaky peak – part 2. I guess this picture of trimming an HST doesn’t give anything away.

To-Do for last week:

  1. Finish the three binding projects
  2. One limit list for a stress-free week

To-Do #1

Sure – these two binding projects are finished along with one additional project. It doesn’t take me that long to hand-sew a binding! I am not, however, ready to write about those three projects yet. Go ahead – call me lazy. We’ve been spending a lot of time with our littles . . . we know where our priorities lie.

There might be a casino visit in the very near future. No, I do not have a gambling problem. It’s just that traffic through Chicago is very light on national holidays, like Presidents’ Day. We have to take advantage of those infrequent events when they occur. No snoozing allowed – take advantage of the nice weather and no traffic jams. So, as my Mom would have said, we plan to win, win, win. Fingers crossed!

What To-Do Next Week?

  1. Start two Neighborhood table runners
  2. Only one – no stress

  2. Looking forward to seeing your quilt on the blog hop!! Thanks for sharing on Monday Musings!

  3. Sounds like you’ve made a great start to retirement. Hope you have a win and a good time had on the trjip through Chicago on its quieter day.

Fingers crossed for a successful excursion today. Doing great on your walking and yoga! I hate winter and am very bad at this time of year – I would have been a good bear. Anyway, good luck with your week – I hope my fabric for VR hop comes this week – but I have plenty to keep me out of trouble – a commission baby quilt and tips and tutes and tgiff!

  5. Kate says:

Congrats on the finishes. Enjoy your casino trip if you go. Happy stitching this week.

  6. Wendy says:

Time with the littles should definitely take priority! They grow so fast, so savor every moment you have with them. I need to get the binding on my VRD quilt – finally got the quilting done.

  7. Win-Win-Win wishes for you guys on your excursion into ChiTown! 🙂
Your backing fabric on the binding projects has my imagination going on what they were ‘for’ – I came up with this: Baby snooze quilt on the left and winter warmth theme quilt on the right…
    Take care, Roseanne.
