To-Do #111 Weekly Progress Update

Happy Memorial Day to all our friends in the USA.  This is the 111th edition of our weekly to-do list.  We usually share this post on Beth’s Cooking Up Quilts and at Becca’s What I Made Monday website on Mondays and Christine’s Stitch All the Things and Dione’s Clever Chameleon website on Tuesdays.  Check out what our friends are sharing!

To-Do for the week of May 20th through 26th:

  1. Rainy day finish –  done
  2. Squirrel project a.k.a. True Red White Blue table runner – √ done
  3. Enjoy a long weekend – √ done

Extra

Let me share this free pattern in case you missed it earlier in a blog hop.  It’s called Stars Galore Mug Rug and it was shared back in April 2018.  It’s an easy quick project that you could whip up right now and very fitting for today!

Stars Galore 2

To-Do #1

Rainy Day is a wrap and in the finished column.  Handily enough it is also a quarter 2 goal which leaves a whole month to work on other items on the list.  Last Friday I shared all the details but I’m happy to share a finished photo here.  Sorry for the crappy picture – someday we will have nice enough weather for some outdoor photos.  Right?!

To-Do #2

True Red White Blue table runner was a complete squirrel or drop everything and make it (DrEAMi) project.  It was not on the radar, nor was it on The Master List that Sue keeps.  I believe I actually received a long ~sigh~ when this project was suggested.  More details were shared in the post last Saturday but here is the finished item!

True Blue

Sue told me the blue drawer actually closes with ease now!  Not from ‘all’ the fabric used in this project, but coupled with the Cinderella blue pull we are golden.  Woot-woot!  She didn’t mention the red drawer . . .

To-Do #3

Flag

Enjoying Memorial Day and a long weekend!  This flag made from yo-yos hangs above our fireplace from Memorial Day through at least Labor Day.  The official start to summer, a day of grilling and hanging out with friends and most importantly honoring and remembering.  Our flag was hung out early and I love how it looks with some freshly planted flowers and striped hostas.  Did you have a Memorial Day parade?

May OMG

Our May OMG (one monthly goal) is finished! Accomplishing the quilting of Rainy Day with a spiral pattern this month feels great.  Tomorrow I’ll share a spiral quilting step-by-step tutorial.  We did link up with Patty at Elm Street Quilts and thank her and the many vendors for the inspiration!  Time to decide upon a June goal.

To-Do for the week of May 27th through June 2nd

How oh how can it be almost June?!!

  1. Relax, enjoy an extra day off and sew if we feel like it!
  2. Start celebrating Sue’s birthday month with a strawberry/rhubarb pie
  3. Choose fabrics for Cinderella quilt

Our other Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link above or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to.  Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on.  We would love to see them!

If you have trouble completing #2, I’d be so pleased to be able to help out. 😉 A great successful week last week, and I hope this one was, too. My ears are perking up at the term “Cinderella quilt”!
