To-Do Tuesday #229 Weekly Update

Join us today for the 229th weekly To-Do Tuesday list and update. Gladys Taber wrote, “Contentment is a list with half of it crossed off.” We are joining Linda who is hosting the To-Do Tuesday linky party. Thank you, Linda!

To-Do for last week October 5th – 11th:

  1. Continue sewing and cutting for the Two by Four QAL – √ Done
  2. Finish up the Thanksgiving table topper – Nope
  3. Start working on a Christmas topper for Nicole – Nope

To-Do #1

TODAY (the 12th) is the day to share your progress with Katy and Deanna in their Two By Four QAL. Since cutting on the dark fabrics is still ongoing, we are nowhere near having a finished quilt top. The best I can offer is a stack of to-be-sewn pretties.

To-Do #2

While I really wanted to wrap up this Thanksgiving topper this weekend, the booster shot had me wiped out. Saturday I was so tired and achy that I barely did anything other than huddle underneath a quilt to try to get warm. Hopefully, this weekend will be much

To-Do #3

A Christmas topper similar to the one we made for ourselves is nearly in the works for Nicole. We called ours Sugar Cubes and Cookies and we stuck with our favorite hexagon shape for these toppers.

Nicole has specific colors and fabrics that she’d like included in her topper. Last year, we made her a long table runner for her island. She’d like the two to compliment each other!

Maybe this weekend will be more productive!

Friendly reminder:

It won’t be long before the Gashtly Ghouls blog hop starts on October 18th. Our day is the 21st.

To-Do for the week of October 12th through 18th:

  1. Continue sewing the Two by Four pieces for the quilt-along.
  2. Finish up the Thanksgiving table topper
  3. Start working on a Christmas topper for Nicole

No change from last week since we really didn’t complete a darn thing!

Looks like your mojo is back! You have just as many items as I do on your plate. LOL!

Sorry to hear the shot made you ill. Take care and hopefully this will find you better. I cannot take the vaccine – allergic to Polyethenol Glycol. (PEG). 3 doctors support me. I have enough immune problems do not need anymore.

Let’s hope for a better week-end for you! Hugs.

Oof! My second shot did me in with chills and aches so bad that I a long hot bath and I ended up in bed under the covers as well. (Not sure I’ll be getting a booster since this was just in mid-Aug.). Hope you’re back up to 100% by now!

Sorry to hear about the booster problem, and hope you are feeling better. Good luck with your list this week…you will catch up when you are ready.

  9. Hope you are feeling better. Our daughter had her booster too and had some uncomfortable reactions! We talked on Sunday and she was feeling better. I love that cute snowman runner you did last year! I’ll be watching for this year’s creation.

I’ve heard the booster can be a stinker. So far we are being forced to wait for Moderna’s booster. I hope you are feeling better. Look forward to the blog hop and I’m sure your other projects will come along in the time they are supposed to. Hope your week goes well and this coming weekend is much better than last!

  11. Some weeks are like that, aren’t they, Roseanne? Good to get that booster and get it out of the way. This week has to be better! It will be fun to see your Two by Four quilt take shape and also what you decide on for the snowman topper.

  12. Wendy Tuma says:

Glad you are feeling better after a weekend of rest (whether you wanted it or not). I’m sure you’ll get those projects moving, so no worries! Do take care!

  13. Good morning, my friend. I am so sorry you had problems – I hope that’s the worst of it and you are feeling better soon. Take care of yourself – everything else will be there when you are up to tackling it!

I hope your week is starting off better than the weekend. Hugs.
