To-Do #52+9 Weekly Update

This is our 61st edition of our weekly to-do list.  We share this post on Beth’s Cooking Up Quilts website on Mondays, and Christine’s Stitch All the Things website on Tuesdays.  Check it out as other friends post their to-do lists as well! ~smile~

To-Do for the week June 4th through 10th:

  1. Finish quilting I Spy – √ done
  2. Work on binding t-shirt quilt – √ done
  3. Finish Bubbles baby quilt – √ done

To-Do #1

The I Spy quilt for Dominic is all finished!  Happily, it turned out so darn cute, and a post was shared about it last Friday.  It was a very fun quilt to make, and it came together with help from some of our quilting friends .  Thank you again, ladies.  This also gives me a chance to share a picture of the new owner with his new quilt.  We could not coax a smile from him at that moment – not to worry though he had plenty more for us throughout the afternoon.

To-Do #2

The t-shirt quilt is for a good friend, Pat.  She is traveling this week – actually on a two week road trip through several southern states.  I can’t share the final product until we give the quilt to Pat, but I can share a shot of the quilting that commenced.

I chose a wide crosshatch stitch with the lines about two inches apart.  We started out the process in our usual way of putting down a line of masking tape to stitch next to for the first row.

To-Do #3

Last week was a great week for finishes as not only I Spy was complete but so was Bubbles.  Here’s a shot of the binding being sewn on.  On Friday we’ll share all the happy details about this adorable quilt.

Extra:

We completed the first step in the Fireburst Mystery Quilt.  If you recall, this was one quilt that I promised I would make on my own but Sue relented and has been a big help.

June OMG Goal:

Our Elm Street Quilts June OMG goal is to finish the Tea Flower mystery QAL #2 quilt top.  I’ve started on thinking about the how-to-be-quilted dilemma as the quilt top is now a flimsy.

To-Do June 11th through 17th:

  1. Layer Tea Flower quilt
  2. Finish binding t-shirt quilt
  3. Happy Father’s Day

Our other Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to.  Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on.  We would love to see them!

I love the look on Dominic’s face — like a grown man, demanding to know what all the fuss is about! My husband makes that face when I start talking about quilting, too. 🙂
