January OMG Geo Star Plaid Quilt Top
Reality is slapping us in the face today – it’s back to real life and a regular schedule as the two-week holiday break is over. Each month, Patty at Elm Street Quilts hosts a linky party called OMG or One Monthly Goal. We have been participating successfully in her monthly link-up for over two years. For the first OMG project For January 2020, we are selecting the Geo Star Plaid quilt top and to get it quilted.
January Geo for a Star-Crossed Plaid
Finishing in a four by five pattern, the baby-sized quilt has a block that measures nine inches. Here is our quilt top, Geo Star Plaid, which measures approximately 36″ x 45″. The quilt top was altogether by mid-June but, of course, I didn’t know how to quilt it.
Enter Kathleen from Kathleen McMusing with a suggestion just recently. And a great suggestion at that – why not mimic the suggestion of plaid with straight-line stitching. It turns out we had the perfect backing in our stash already, so why not get busy?!!
January Geo Pop OMG
We think these Geo Pop fabrics were the perfect medium for this quilt top. It’s also the perfect goal for the first month of this new decade. We thank Patty for continuing OMG in 2020 as we find it very motivating and inspiring.
Our other Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link above or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on. We would love to see them!
Love this quilt with these fabrics. I can’t wait to see it quilted. I have mine sandwiched and am just trying to get the courage up to put it under the needle! 🥴 Carol
You can do it Carol! It’s only fabric – and no one but you will know if it’s not perfect (and it won’t be). {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
So true and thanks for the vote of confidence 🥴 carol

All the best with your quilting, I think it will be really nice when done.
