Hey, Hey! We’re Five Today!
Who knew?! This five-year anniversary snuck up on me, but that’s like asking when is the Fourth of July. Umm. It’s on the fourth of July, hence the name. February 12th. A date that should stick in my mind as the day, five years ago, when I started to ramble and write on a fairly frequent basis. This is the first image uploaded to our blog. It is a jigsaw quilt that we made for our dear friend, Rosalie’s daughter, Lauren, as a wedding gift. It signifies friendship, family, inclusion, and that we are all linked together in spite of being apart. The perfect representation of Home Sewn By Us, I think.
This event deserves a proper celebration, don’t you think? Since I was surprised by the message from Word Press this morning, we cannot celebrate FIVE today. But very, very soon. Live is too short to not enjoy balloons, cake, family, friends, and often aimless jabbering.

It appears that wood is the proper give for a celebration of five years of blogging. Hmm. I will need to get a wee bit creative to pull that off . . . but rest assured, I will. I have good friends . . . in high places . . . who are creative . . . and will help me.
