Gray Polka Dot Quilt Finished
This gray polka-dot quilt never made it on any of the to-do lists. It was started last December and hand quilted by Sue in between coursework. She was taking a class from a local University for an additional endorsement. When we picked out the fabric and started this quilt we had NO idea this would be Baby J’s colors. Now it fits in perfectly with the nursery colors and will go along well with the elephant quilt.
We went back to our roots, our true comfort zone for this quilt. A nine-patch. Just the bestest, fastest quilt ever for us. I think we can cut, sew and quilt this in our sleep. That’s why we have to branch out into other forests now and then. HA
The white-on-white background fabric has little stars printed on it, so that is the design we chose to quilt in the blank squares. Isn’t every baby a star?
We have the cutest giraffes on the backing fabric. They just make me ~smile~ whenever I look at them. Unknowingly, we have given Baby J a zoo-theme with the elephants and giraffes. Maybe I’ll have to put something on the storage bins other than the elephant . . .
I know Baby J will feel all the love stitched into this gray polka-dot quilt just for him or her. ~smile~

Hi Vicki – this is the pattern we ‘go-to’ all the time. Nothing wrong with that but we do need to branch out more, I think. I’ve got a few patterns to try out that hopefully we will love just as much. ~smile~
