Aqua 2020 Monthly Color Challenge – February Block
Here we are into the second month of the 2020 Monthly Color Challenge already. If you would like to get your free copy of the current block, just follow the link to Jen’s website. Aqua is the featured color.
February Monthly Color – Aqua
The fabrics we selected for the whole year was shared back in December and I love it even more now that I’ve worked with it for January’s block. I just adore this fabric which is called Crayola Kaleidoscope. This month, Jen’s inspiration is the Indigo Bunting. This birdie features the beautiful teal color and is in the Cardinal family.
February Aqua Piecing
Sue started cutting the necessary pieces for me and then it was time to start sewing.
I really enjoy using the Bloc Loc ruler for trimming half-square triangles.
February Aqua Ta-Da
Here is our second monthly color challenge block for 2020 in a rather striking layout. I am getting better at making these hourglass blocks now thanks to Jen! The mini pinwheel in the center formed from the hourglasses just makes me happy.
I am also happy to share the January and February 2020 block together.

Love your block! That fabric was really an excellent choice. I don’t own the bloc loc rulers but everyone seems to like them. I am very happy with the Slotted Trimmers. Glad there are many tools for us to choose from.
OH. I have some black and have been wanting to make a quilt with a black background. And I had ordered some of the same fabrics you ordered. Call me copy cat! LOL

This is a great collection to use. Love it. Teal is one of my favorite colors. The black background really makes it pop!
I love that stack of fabric! I am not partaking in this challenge as I have so many others to do and I’ve been lazy the last three days or so and feel like I have done nothing – I need to put the book down today and get back to sewing and make progress. I like the colors you are using
