To-Do Tuesday #42 & Monday Musing

Two of our friends host a weekly linky party. Brenda at Songbird Designs has a Monday linky party called Monday Musings. Our friend Carol at Quilt Schmidt hosts To-Do Tuesday with a separate linky party. We will share our weekly updates on both of their websites.

Walk Challenge Update:

My goal is 10,500 steps a day, and *20-30 minutes of yoga. How did I do last week?

  • 3/17 = 11,857*
  • 3/18 = 11,175*
  • 3/19 = 12,116*
  • 3/20 = 12,208*
  • 3/21 = 13,245*
  • 3/22 = 12,654*
  • 3/23 = 11,678*

To-Do for last week:

  1. Sew the cottages together
  2. One limit list for a stress-free week

To-Do #1

Both cottage runners are together complete with their Friendship Star block sky rows with twinkling stars . . .

Sue layered them for me and I started quilting only to have my sewing machine balk. The top thread started breaking and shredding. I tried a few different brands of threads, changed the needle, and rethreaded several times – what the heck? I did break a needle recently – I had the wrong presser foot on and tried a needle down. Yikes! That was a scary noise not to mention the flying needle parts. I hope it’s fixable.

Ellie, the Elna sewing machine, had to be taken in for service. STAT. They told me she’d be at the spa for two to three weeks so there will be no to-do list for a few weeks. Nuts!

What To-Do Next Month?

  1. Possibly sew the HRTs rows together – that’s worth a good giggle!
  2. Only one – no stress

On a personal note, we could use a few prayers for a family member dealing with some serious health concerns. After seeing a specialist later this week, we’ll have more information and a treatment plan.

I am sorry to hear about Ellie Elna and your sick family member! May both experience a complete recovery! Meantime, take care of yourself, as you have been, and enjoy some springtime weather (I hope. I do know that snow is still predicted for many areas, including my own). 🙂

  6. Rochelle Summers says:

I feel for you. Just picked up my machine Thursday after 3+ weeks at the spa. Luckily I have a Featherweight that keeps me from going into withdrawls. But where is the needle threader? I thought this baby could cut the thread for me!! I’m so spoiled. Best wishes during the coming week for your family member. And a boatload of ((Hugs)).

As for time at the spa for your machine? Try to enjoy life outside the sewing room during that time – Springtime in all it’s crazy weather glory is awaiting your mindful presence! 🙂
