To-Do Tuesday #259 Weekly Update

Happy Birthday, Sue!

Join us today for the 259th weekly To-Do Tuesday list and update. Linda hosts the To-Do Tuesday linky party and we thank you, Linda! Happy Happy Birthday to my bestie, Sue!

To-Do for the week of May 31st through June 6th:

  1. Survive the end of the school year – √ Done
  2. Start cutting Positivity pieces maybeNope – fabric hasn’t arrived yet
  3. No more – stress-free motto adherence!

No sewing happened last week at all but we did have an early birthday celebration on Sunday! GG joined us in the kitchen singing happy birthday to Auntie Sue. The candle was relit several times (five times, to be exact) so everyone got a chance to blow out the candle including Sue. The littles enjoyed the cheesecake with some whipped cream on top. More whipped cream than cheesecake, I might add. ~smile~

To-Do #1

Today is Sue’s last day of school with students. Nice birthday present, huh?! Tomorrow is “Records Day” to finish up report cards, pack up a room that she doesn’t have since she teaches virtually, and whatever else needs to be wrapped up. Her boss is moving on to a different job so they are having a going-away luncheon for him. Our staff and students’ last day is Thursday. When the bell rings there is always a delighted scream that makes me smile and laugh. This year there is a beach party combined with an ice cream bash. Sounds like a good way to welcome in the summer, don’t you think? I work year-round but I’ll surely miss everyone!

To-Do #2

The second annual Positivity QAL started officially on May 29th. We ordered some fabric from Green Fairy Quilts as they were having a sale on Riley Blake precuts. We found a pack of 10″ fabrics that we liked along with some tan Bella solid fabric. I’m certain it will arrive soon enough and then we’ll jump into the QAL with both feet so to speak!

To-Do for the week of June 7th through 13th:

  1. Happy Birthday to Sue with some lasagna from Olive Garden!
  2. Maybe start quilting a village-made apple quilt for Violet
  3. Two limit list for another stress-free week!
