To-Do Tuesday #23 & Monday Musing

Two of our friends host a weekly linky party. Brenda at Songbird Designs has a Monday linky party called Monday Musings. Our friend Carol at Quilt Schmidt hosts To-Do Tuesday with a linky party as well. We will share our weekly updates on both of their websites.

Countdown and Walk Challenge Update:

There are only 84 days to go in 2023! My walking stats for last week – goal of 10,500/day met:

  • 10/2 = 10,929
  • 10/3 = 11,387
  • 10/4 = 11,320
  • 10/5 = 12,102
  • 10/6 = 11,416
  • 10/7 = 11,251
  • 10/8 = 10,821

To-Do for last week:

  1. Last cradle quilt update
  2. Start working on the Wisconsin Badger t-shirts for a quilt possibly
  3. Two limit list for a stress-free week

To-Do #1

This is the last time I will mention Carole’s cradle quilt drive over at From My Carolina Home. The drive is looking for 18″ square quilts which will be given to children as Christmas/holiday gifts. Carole asks that if you would like to make a cradle quilt, please mail it to her by the end of October. Thank you so very much!

I got our Hot Wheels cradle quilt in the mail on Thursday. Our friend, Carol, whipped up one too in just one day. We did some shopping together on Wednesday, and she shared it with me. I know a little boy will really enjoy the Superman theme, and I know three little boys who would happily give it a home! Thanks for the collection, Carole. Let’s do it again next year.

To-Do #2

So, not too much happened with the t-shirt project other than some pondering. I’m thinking that we can make one of the hexagon-shaped table toppers from the t-shirts although we might need to get creative. I lined up one of the shirts on the reverse side of a topper, just to see how it would work. It might work. Hmm. We’ll see.

What To-Do Next Week?

  1. I don’t know – the sewing room is a mess – I have too many irons in the fire to think straight!
  2. Maybe nothing – no stress!

  1. All of my house is my sewing room…so it’s all pretty much a mess! I need to rent a bull dozer! LOL Cute cradle quilts. I hope you had a good week and will have a wonderful weekend, whatever you decide to do! Thanks for linking up with Monday Musings!

I am loving the littles, they are getting so grown up!! I love the runner, I can see why Addison does too! Have a great rest of your week Chickadee!!

  3. Yay for both of us! Your Hot Wheels CQ looks great – as for your friend Carol ‘whipping up a CQ in one day’? I’m envious but happy she got one out, too!
As for myself? I met the challenge and have 2 CQs packed and ready to be posted – in fact, I went this morning to get them in the snail mail and learned today’s a holiday. Mildly cranky, I shall return tomorrow! A post with pics of the two once they are sent out is forthcoming.
Thanks again for the call for quilts notice!

Look at you go, Roseanne. You are really racking up those steps! Congratulations! My sewing messes are all over the house because no dedicated sewing room. LOL! But I call it inspiration! Hope you have a great week and don’t stress over little things like the sewing room. Those cradle quilts are so cute. Hugs.

My sewing room is neat because of the vacation! Let’s hope it stays that way. I like the idea of the t-shirt on the hex runner. Maybe a football or helmet in the center. I am sure the wheels are churning and you will come up with the perfect solution!

A happy, creative mess is a good mess! I hope you have a great week!

My sewing room is a mess too, every day this week I took one tiny pile and put it away…still is a mess! But I felt a little better. My advice(not that you asked for it, LOL) is to pick the ‘iron’ that needs the least work and finish it:)

  8. Helen says:

But… aren’t sewing rooms always a mess? (ha ha ha) Seems like mine is.
