Second Sew Along – The Fourth Update

Home Sewn By Us

Our second sew along has been hopping and bopping along since July 1st.  This was a no stress, no deadline, no prize sew along, just for fun.  A vote back in early June determined there was no clear winner as there was a tie!  Sew, all three patterns were the choices for this sew along.

We Have a Finish At Last!

I enjoyed this no-stress, no-hurry sew along.  We worked on this project now and then.  No rush.  Considerable thought was given on how to quilt this project.  In the end, we chose floppy feathers and a version of sand dune wavy lines for quilting.  More details were shared earlier this month in Up From Here Finished.

The Last Planned Update

This is the last formal update on this sew along.  That doesn’t mean I won’t be happy to share updates as projects are finished in 2019!  We hope you have enjoyed the sew along, both participating and reading about it.  A third sew along may start in January, 2019.

Hello Roseanne, Every one created such fabulous quilts and pillows! I wish that I would have thought of creating a small table runner or pillow and I may have joined in, but life goes on with a great smile looking at every project that was made and thinking about what will be the next sew along project! I am slowly getting my new blog set up and am actually looking forward to starting it in the new year. I would also like to thank you for all of your tutorial links. I have been slowly going through your pages and deciding which ones I would truly want to create. It is amazing to me how many outstanding quilt designers I have the pleasure of following and especially of being able to call them my blogging friends! Keep up the great work and you will become an even bigger star. Thank you for sharing and being the amazing person you are!! Smiles and Hugs being sent for a special day to you!

Congratulations to all who finished those lovelies. I’m set to start on your first sew-along in January. This has been a strip quilt I’ve wanted to do. Just needed to get past the holiday season.

  7. I love both of those triangle quilts! Looking forward to seeing your 2019 QALs.

  10. Thanks for hosting the QAL, Roseanne! My pillow is looking at me as I type this, waiting for my daughter to come and snuggle with it. That’s a win, in my book!
