Zigzag Gray Table Topper For Sissy
Sue’s sister, Janice, just moved into a new house with her fiancé. They, or it may be more her actually, were able to pick out most features. The house was half finished when they found it and purchased it. Cabinets, flooring, light fixtures, and even the outside finishes were picked out ‘together’ in theory. Since he is so laid back and easy going, it was mostly ‘what did we pick out for here’? ~smile~
A Little Zigzag
Sissy selected gray and taupe for her wall colors in the kitchen, dinette, and living room that are all one big room. She put one of those taller, square tables and chairs in the dinette. I love those – I find them so comfortable to sit at. She requested a table topper for the new set in a 19 inch square. Here it is just after we finished it:
We made it from half-square triangles. We laid them out in a zigzag pattern. Even though it didn’t take too many for this size topper, we did manage to get in a few zigs. I chose to quilt it following the basic shape of the zigzag. I used a light gray thread on top and a light yellow thread on the back:
We have one more piece to make for her – a table runner. She has a breakfast bar set up on her island, but it shares the space with her sink. The runner has to be skinny but long – 11″ x 48″. We’re going to use the same color scheme and HSTs but in a slightly different pattern. Hopefully that will be done to share next week . . . and maybe even with new owner(s) holding them with any luck.

Perfect.
Thanks Peggy! ~smile~ Roseanne
