To-Do Tuesday #5 Weekly Update

Join us today for the weekly To-Do Tuesday (on a Monday!) list #5 and update. Linda hosts the To-Do Tuesday linky party and we thank you so much, Linda! Many of our friends join in and share their ongoing projects and recent finishes. Be sure to check it out.

To-Do for the week of November 29th through December 5th:

  1. Bind a quilt from the Quilting Extravaganza Day Part 1
  2. Buttonhole/appliqué an Easter topper
  3. Two limit list for a stress-free week

To-Do #1

The binding is being sewn on by hand. I guess a sneak peak of it won’t spoil the surprise to be shared in a post tomorrow. Part 2 of our first longarming adventure and extravaganza day will spill all the details. Maybe even a completely finished quilt will be ready for unveiling, too. (It is all finished!!)

To-Do #2

We are working a bit out of season on some Easter table toppers in a hexagon shape. We put our Etsy shop on “vacation” mode in mid-November. All the listings were up for renewal and I just didn’t have time to deal with it. Nothing was selling anyway – until TWO did right before their expiration date.

These little bunnies have such cute faces that it’s a pleasure to appliqué them. Working in these spring colors also brightens the sewing room considerably since the days are getting shorter and shorter.

Extra To-Do

These two hexagon gems found themselves finished for Nicole. My plan for an elaborate quilting design fell by the wayside. Done and delivered beat out other time-consuming plans. The wavy stitch on my Elna did the trick quite nicely and they were both done lickety-split.

These will be enjoyed after the holiday decorations are taken down, Nicole assured me. I have no doubt. Win/win as they are another November finish! Woohoo!

To-Do Stay-At-Home Round Robin

The Stay-At-Home Round Robin 2023 is right around the corner. On Monday, January 16, the festivities begin. Six blogger friends will share the center blocks that we will build upon. Every Monday thereafter a different compadre will share their suggestion for the round along with tips and tricks. March 13th will be the final parade. There’ll be a weekly linky party. It’s nine quick weeks of round-robin fun. Sue and I have a unique project in mind. ~smile~ We hope you consider joining us.

To-Do for the week of December 6th through 12th:

  1. Enjoy the Little Mermaid play production with Addison!
  2. Maybe finish the buttonhole/appliqué of the Easter table toppers
  3. Low-stress limit of two items!

Nicole’s hexies are just gorgeous – of course she will leave them out! Have fun with Addison! I am going with my daughter and little Laney to see the Nutcracker on December 18 – it will be so fun! I took my daughter when she was little and she never forgot it. Of course I am joining your SAHRR! Thank you for sharing with To Do Tuesday!

Low stress is the best! You two are doing really well with your projects! I’m up for the Hop tomorrow, too, but I don’t have a TDT post – yet. Maybe Wednesday!

I really thought I’d lost a day…for a minute. And then I thought “Oh good! An extra post from you ladies this week!” So, I love the colors in those table runners and it is nice to see a finished project, isn’t it. And I like that you are keeping your quilting low key. Those bunnies are darling! I hope we see them again next week. It will be fun to go to the play with Addison…will she be in it? And yes we want more of the quilting extravaganza story. Have a great day. Hugs! Rochelle

I can’t wait to see your the finished quilt – from your day at the long arm! You have a lot of things going on and are making great progress. Gonna have to think about whether I am doing the Round Robin….have done it 2 times, so maybe a third is necessary. Got 2 other blog commitments for January so why not add a third in!

  10. Those sweet bunnies are just adorable! I think the wave stitch on the table toppers works perfectly! I know they will be enjoyed after the holidays! Enjoy your week! I can’t wait to see pictures of Addison’s play!! Have a great week and thanks for linking up with Monday Musings!!

I was quite confused, but that’s OK, you reminded me to get my own Tuesday post written! Love the runners, and oh my, the bunnies are as always, so cute!

  12. Vicki in MN says:

The weeks are just flying by aren’t they! Is Addison all excited about the play?

  13. Is it Tuesday already?! Nah, you’re just excited to share your ToDos first before posting the Part 2 Quilting Extravaganza Day deets! I do like seeing binding details…aren’t those clips just the best invention since ‘sliced bread’? (What an old expression, but seemed appropriate).
Waiting with baited breath on Part 2. Have a great Tues…oops…Monday, Roseanne.
    🙂
