Purple Simply Woven Quilt Delivered

The queen-size purple-hued quilt that we made for my niece is in its new home.  Woot woot!  You can find a few more of the details about the quilt in our article posted earlier,  Purple Simply Woven Quilt Finished.

Purple Love

My niece, Betsy, is a huge fan of purple, and this is her second quilt.  Here is a picture of her with her new quilt:

Bets and her new quilt

She loves the idea that the thread used is called Vibrant Violet, and that her Grandma has a little piece of love in her quilt.  Here is the quilt we made her the first time:

It was a housewarming gift when she moved into her new home back in 2003, so it has held up pretty well.  The pattern we used is called Winning Hand by Quilt in a Day.  We have used a lot of patterns by Eleanor Burns throughout our quilting career.  That wraps up our story of the Purple Simply Woven quilt for now.  One of the colors even matches the color of her bedroom walls – a win/win all around.  ~smile~

Good Morning! Thank you for the kind words. She sent me a text just this morning saying she really loves it and it kept her nice and warm last night as the temperatures dipped back down into the 40s. ~smile~ Roseanne
