Wisconsin 2019 Shop Hop Starts Soon

The 2019 Wisconsin Shop Hop starts on June 7th and runs through June 29th.  If you follow the link, you will see that they have segmented the state into eight individual areas.  Each area offers prizes plus there is a Grand Prize if all of the segments are visited and your passport is stamped.

Previous Wisconsin Shop Hop

In past years, we have visited a few of the shops and picked up fabric, patterns and even Row by Row items.  On our trip to South Dakota, we visited the best shop I’ve EVER visited on the Mississippi River, called Olive Juice Quilts.  If you happen to be near Onalaska, Wisconsin during your travels, this shop is worth the diversion.  It has a very odd name but oodles of fabrics, patterns and a fabulous space for classes.  Honestly, we had trouble finding it because of road construction.  Sue’s dad insisted we continue the search and we were very thankful we did.  Back to the topic at hand, we have shop hopped section one plus in the past.  Of course, shops have changed with new ones being added and others dropping out.  We hopped with our friend Carol and her husband, Ken.  It is always a fun time with them as we’ve shared so many laughs over the years.

2019 Wisconsin Fabric

Each year the shop hop always offers some special fabric that is only available at the participating shops.  After the hop dates, the fabric is available via online portals as well as the shops if they have any supply leftover.  All the fabric choices are found in the link shared above, but here are just a few that speak to me.

These fabrics are exclusive to the 2019 Wisconsin Shop Hop

Sue would roll her eyes and say that ALL fabric speaks to me, to which I would have to disagree.  I have occasionally walked past some fabrics that I thought were just adorable and fabulous.  Not too often, I agree, but it has happened.  These three are fabrics that Sue liked!  No firm plan for them as of yet, but that could change in a heartbeat.  The jury is out as to whether we will hop the hop this year or not.

Our other Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link above or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to.  Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on.  We would love to see them!

  1. I agree about Olive Juice (It’s how her grandchild said “I love you.)!

We’ll be shop hopping the 6th through the 15th here. 12 shops. I think this hop is the one I always follow on Karen’s blog, Tuna Quilts. Maybe? She and her husband do it. I will look forward to seeing what else you buy. That red is fabulous, and if I were in Wisconsin, I’d probably buy it in several stores. LOL The other two shown with it are also good ones. No wonder you and Sue liked them! There is one designer’s line of cotton fabric that doesn’t speak to me.

If you go, I hope you have a great time….and forget about the low-fabric diet!! I’ve done parts of one here in No. Nevada and sometimes a few ladies and I will do a road trip to visit others. But fabric I do not need!!!

Do enjoy the hopping! It’s always hard to turn down a good fabric but I, too, have been known to do it.

Hello Roseanne, A good friend and I did the Oregon Shop Hop one year and had a great time. We put a lot of miles on her car that weekend and explored so many great Fabric Stores that supplied us both with a lot treasured fabrics, patterns and new tools by the time we arrived home. LOL. So if you do decide to go, I hope that all of you have a marvelous time! Have a marvelous day today!

  6. Okay, I have to put that shop on my bucket list. It’s just a 2-hour drive from here. Hope you have a fun shop hop. Let all the fabric speak to you, even if it is Sue’s birthday month! Haha!
