Update on Cutest Dinosaur Quilt Ever

Not too long ago I shared a post about a dinosaur quilt our friend Rosalie had made.  It was for her great-nephew, Forrest.  Forrest is an avid dinosaur loving four-year-old, and was going to attend dinosaur school.  Since that post, Forrest has of course finished dinosaur school and received the quilt.  He also was gifted a matching pillowcase that I forgot to take a picture of.

I am 100% certain that you would like to have an update on Forrest, and of course the quilt.  Here is a picture of the two of them:

Ro-Forest

I’m not quite sure what is going on in the picture, but here in my interpretation. ~smile~ I think he’s sitting on the couch, eating his “Os” (a.k.a. Cheerios) talking about all the dinosaurs – telling us the different kinds represented in the quilt and maybe even giving each one a unique name.  Since he loves to read, he has already read the names from the backing fabric and now is smiling at how cute the quilt top is.  What do you think is going on?

Aunt Ro used some cute fabric as the backing:

She also used this fabric in the matching pillowcase she loving sewed him.  Here is a closeup of that pillowcase fabric along with another shot showing the whole thing:

I am certain that Forrest had fun at dinosaur school.  Next year, his brother Franklin may be old enough to join him.  Forrest asked Aunt Ro if she would make Frankie a quilt, but was willing to share his if she couldn’t.  He would understand if she wasn’t able to.  ~big smile~  How sweet is that?!!

  1. That is an amazing quilt and Forest seems to love it! The backing fabric is fabulous. May be Forest is talking to the dinosaurs? 🙂

Hi Soma! I bet you are correct – Forrest is probably speaking to the dinosaurs. They are good listeners. ~smile~ Roseanne
