Where can I find the Moda Love pattern to print?

Can I buy this pattern? I would make it a baby quilt. Thanks

  3. I have to agree. If it’s for a wall square is fine. For a floor quilt for baby to play on square is fine. But for a bed, I need it to be rectangular to fit the bed properly. I don’t like when the sheets hang lower than the quilt or when you can see the box spring.

  4. I love your quilt!! It is beautiful. I also really like the quilting pattern. Do you know what the longarm quilting pattern is called and where it can be found?
    Thank you for your post

Just a question: Why don’t you like square quilts?

    • Roseanne says:

What a great question. I had to stop and think about my answer for a bit. I guess because most of the quilts I make I expect to be used. On a bed, as a covering, etc. while square quilts seem to be wall hangings. Bedsheets or purchased coverings are not square, i.e., twin size is 70″ x 86″, etc. Even a lap quilt is usually a rectangle because people are often taller/longer than they are wide. That’s the basis for my dislike of the square quilt, and I appreciate that you asked me. I also appreciate your visit to our website and your comment, and I hope you come again. ~smile~ Roseanne

I have had that one bookmarked a long time! I just love it, but every time I think I will make it I question the fabric choices! I just need to do it.

  7. Roseanne, If you make this for Dominic I’m certain he won’t think twice about it being a square. He will just love it. 😊

You could always just add a bigger top and bottom border to the pattern to make it a rectangle. I don’t really like square quilts either. It is a nice pattern though and easy to make.

      Hi Cecilia,
Yes, good point about adding the two borders. Someone reminded me that a square quilt (baby anyway) is great for swaddling them. ~smile~ Roseanne

You could use the same half-square blocks set on point with background fabric triangles to square them and make a border at each end.
