Still loving your trucks and snow men! Have you tried slipping a scrap of batting behind the snowman’s eyes to see whether that stabilizer really would show through or not? Laying on top of your green cutting mat like that, you can see the stabilizer through to the front, but maybe you don’t see it at all with white batting underneath. I would be nervous about ripping it away from the stitching, too.

    Lovely projects!!!
With the stabilizer … take a sample, stitch as you stitched the eyes, and then see if it dissolves. If it doesn’t, I wouldn’t woryy about it too much – unless it shows through on the runner.
Another hint is to use Terial Magic instead of stabilizer … it’s an awesome stiffner.
Good luck with this week’s To Do!
And thank you for hosting To Do for the past year!

  3. Such great projects! Wondering about your method on flying geese…did you see Alex Anderson you tube yesterday on the way she has changed doing the flying geese on the sawtooth block?

One whole year of hosting TDT! Thank you!
I thought that snowman’s crooked smile looked familiar! I made that runner last year – not quilted, in UFO pile. Ha ha! Something to finish before Winter!

You’re right…2020 has been one long year! I love the quilt for Dominic and that Snowman table runner is so cute. Can’t wait to see the red, white and blue blocks come together. Now what’s this about a tote bag? Colors, style…come on, spill!!!

  8. So much goodness to work on. Did you try tweezers for the eyes. It is sometimes helpful, but if not, washing will just be fine.

  9. Cheree Hull says:

Oh I love your trucks Roseanne! My older son would have loved this quilt as a little kid – his room was all about trucks and heavy equipment.

You are staying right on track. We too had cool very cool yesterday. I didn’t want to open the windows in fact. I am looking for a bit warmer and that will happen on Wednesday. Have a good week!

  13. Fun projects – completed and yet to be begun! I noticed your ‘happy’ fabrics really are a starry variation of basic polka dots! HA!

  14. Denise says:

Are the trucks for Dominic’s quilt applique or were you lucky enough to find those fantastic trucks on fabric? For once I think your goals look obtainable for me, I wish I had 4 hands. Thank you for the linky party.

  15. When we get a cooler summer day now and then, I always think it makes the next hotter ones a little more bearable! Your snowmen on the tablerunner look adorable – looking forward to seeing how they finish up, Roseanne!

  16. Love Dominic’s quilt. That is such a fun quilt for a little boy. Good luck with this week’s to do list. You’ve got some fun stuff on it.

  17. Gretchen says:
