Hi Sharon! I had a blast quilting Ellie the elephant. She is getting her binding on right now . . . ~smile~ Roseanne

  2. I absolutely adore your elephant applique! Have you tried glue basting for applique? I’ve used Roxanne’s Glue Baste It, fabric glue stick, and plain Elmer’s School Glue successfully. Just little dots of glue along the turned edge does the trick, and it washes out after the quilt is finished. I also really like your Nemo quilt. I forget how effective simple alternating squares can be, especially for a baby quilt with cute novelty prints. Congratulations on your progress and thanks for sharing!

Hi Rebecca! I have never tried the pasting glue, but to be honest I thought I had iron-on webbing or interfacing. Surprise! I will keep that in mind for future projects though, and give it a try. Thank you so much for visiting and commenting ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Kathy! That extra day off from work really helped us get some extra sewing time in ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi again, I was thinking about the challenges you are having with row 4, perhaps the answer is in the other rows. It’s very easy to be off on the 1/4″ seam allowance. Good luck with it!

Hi Ellen! I had that thought too which is when I measured every single block. They are all the same size – but I have ignored the whole thing for a week now. This week is the figure it out and get it done time. If nothing else, I’m going to pin the heck out of it before I sit down to sew. Thanks for your good wishes! It will soon be in your capable hands, I hope. ~smile~
