To-Do Tuesday #235 Weekly Update

Join us today for the 235th weekly To-Do Tuesday list and update. Gladys Taber wrote, “Contentment is a list with half of it crossed off.” We are joining Linda who is hosting the To-Do Tuesday linky party. Thank you, Linda!

To-Do for last week November 16th – 22th:

  1. Finish quilting the ballerina quilt – √ Done
  2. Something else – I don’t know what – √ Done

To-Do #1

It won’t be long now and I’ll be able to share the finished result. I am very slowly hand sewing the binding on the Ballerina quilt. Just two more corners to go . . . but each side seems endlessly long! Our sweet girl will be snuggled underneath it before long. Can’t you just feel how soft that Minky is?!

To-Do #2

Remember, I shared these pictures last week? Well, we were able to find some coffee stout locally for the cookies. I haven’t tried it yet but I do have a bottle chilling in the refrigerator. I’m not a beer fan but I just feel like I have to taste this before making cookies using it!

To keep this kind of quilting related, we did get back to work on the Christmas table toppers. We have two to make and this first one is for Nicole. We’re modeling this version after our Sugar Cubes topper that we shared in last year’s Virtual Cookie blog hop.

To-Do for the week of November 23rd – 29th:

  1. Enjoy a quiet Thanksgiving
  2. Layer and possibly quilt the Santa topper
  3. Start working on the applique on the second topper

Ooooh let us know how that coffee stout tastes! I’m not a beer person either but that intrigues me. Congratulations on the ballerina quilt quilting! I relate to the binding going on for-ev-er. I hope you and Sue had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We sure did.

Yes, your minky backing looks so cuddly. I wonder if you might have any tips for hand binding with minky? Holiday toppers add such a festive touch to our homes!

Pins and needles here in anticipation of the Ballerina quilt reveal. Good luck with the binding, can’t stitch fast when Minky is involved, right? Hope the stout doesn’t interfere.

  12. OOOOOOH, we will soon see the Ballerina!! I’ve never used Minky backing, but it looks so soft!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your family, Roseanne and Sue!! Ours will be quiet also, since our kiddos are leaving for the beach today. When they first married, we decided to share them with the inlaws on Thanksgiving and keep Christmas for us! LOL That’s how it’s been for almost 20 years now!
