To-Do #75 Tuesday and Weekly List Update

Join us today for the 75th linky party post and the 195th weekly To-Do Tuesday list and update. We had 29 friends link up last week plus three spam links! I don’t think there’s anyway to stop those, darn it. Gladys Taber wrote, “Contentment is a list with half of it crossed off.”

To-Do January 5th through 11th:

  1. Share our center block for SAHRR! – √ Done
  2. Continue advancing 4-Patch Plus – √ Done
  3. Find the fabrics for the January Color Block – √ Done
  4. Find some pink fabrics for the RSC block(s) – √ Done

To-Do #1

I am happy to repeat the sharing of our center block for the SAHRR (Stay-At-Home Round Robin). Round One officially starts on Monday the 18th so you have all week to determine your center block if you’d like to join us. Yesterday’s post has all the dets on the linky party to see everyone’s choice. We chose an elongated churn dash block as our center feature. I doubt anyone who knows us is surprised to see the rainbow colors!

To-Do #2

Simple sewing of pieces into blocks and then blocks into rows is all that is needed on the 4-Patch Plus quilt project. Has it happened?? Kinda, sort of, maybe a wee bit . . . three of the pinwheel blocks are together but the third row isn’t yet. Progress or advancement was definitely achieved, though! No new picture, though – we’ve had so little sunshine that it just would have been dark and dismal like our weather.

To-Do #3 & 4

Combining these two to-do’s only made sense since they both involved digging through our stash. Finding fabric fails directly into Sue’s realm, and we needed two different selections. Eggplant for this month’s color challenge block and hues of pink for our first block in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. She found quite a bit more pink choices than either of us thought, that’s for sure!

January OMG

This month, we will focus on the 4-Patch Plus and get it to the finished quilt top stage. We have already linked this project up with Patty at Elm Street Quilts and her January One Monthly Goal linky party.

To-Do January 12th through 18th:

  1. Get Round One ready for Monday’s reveal
  2. Sew the eggplant block
  3. Solider on with our OMG project

We did a round robin in guild and it was lots of fun. I wonder how it would work not in person.
I sure hope that in the next couple of months we will finally be able to hold quilt guild again!

Hmmm… “Simple sewing of pieces into blocks and blocks into rows,” huh? It sounds so simple when you put it like that, but WE all know better! :-). I love your pinwheels. No matter how many weeks they stay on your list, I won’t get tired of them. They remind me of pink lemonade on the perfect summer afternoon.

It’s nice to see that list with checkmarks behind all the to-dos. The 4 patch is moving right along, I’m sure, and will soon be a finished flimsy. The colors for the monthly color block are great but the pinks really make my heart warm. Don’t think I could have done better. Looking forward to the next step in the SHRR. Have a great week.

  13. Fun post – you have some good projects ahead. I am not surprised that Sue found all those pinks, since she seems to have a pretty deep familiarity with what’s in (and behind) those drawers (thinking of that photo of her on the floor, rescuing the fabric from behind the drawer) – haha!

I’m really anxious to see how the 4 patch plus comes out, you’ve been flaunting it for a while now. Move that baby to the top of your list 🙂 I really need to do another pinwheel quilt, they are always stunning regardless of the color. Happy Tuesday and thank you for the link up.

Congratulations on getting all of your list done from last week. I like your pinwheel blocks. Are they all the same pattern fabric in different colors, or just similar? In any case, it really works to make this a fun quilt.
