To-Do #52+14 – Weekly Update

This is our 66th edition of our weekly to-do list.  We share this post on Beth’s Cooking Up Quilts website on Mondays, and Christine’s Stitch All the Things website on Tuesdays.  Check it out as other friends post their to-do lists as well! ~smile~

To-Do for the week July 9th through 15th:

  1. Continue sewing two runner for bridal shower – √ done
  2. Work on Christmas in July project – √ done

To-Do #1

Sue’s nephew William and his fiancee Nicole are getting married in August.  I shared their special engagement back in April, in front of the Cinderella castle at Disney World.  We are making an island and table runners, and will be gifting them at a bridal shower at the end of this month.  Here is half of the project on the design wall along with the happy couple.

To-Do #2

Our Christmas in July blog hop project has been causing me fits.  I almost had the piece together, but I wasn’t happy with how it looked.  Out came the ripper with a let’s try that again!  Here is a sneak peak of our potential mantle/chest quilt that hopefully will be complete for next week’s hop.

Extra:

We started thinking about the next baby quilt we will be making for Dominic’s sibling.  They want either a giraffe or monkey, so I picked giraffe as they’re my favorite.  We will soon share some design ideas but we’re leaning toward a tree with multi-colored leaves and the giraffe eating a leaf.  Similar to our little sock boy. ~smile~

July OMG Goal:

Our Elm Street Quilts June OMG goal is to sew our Christmas in July blog hop item.

To-Do July 16th through 22nd:

  1. Finish the Christmas in July project – the hop is the 24th!
  2. Continue on with the two runners
