To-Do #117 Weekly Progress Update

This is the 117th edition of our weekly to-do list.  We usually share this post on Beth’s Cooking Up Quilts and at Becca’s What I Made Monday website on Mondays and on Christine’s Stitch All the Things and Dione’s Clever Chameleon website on Tuesdays.  Check out what our friends are sharing!

To-Do for the week of July 1st through 7th:

  1. Feel better –  done
  2. Start appliqueing the Cind-erella  – √ done
  3. Enjoy some 4th festivities – √ done

To-Do #1

We both got a virus that knocked us out but not down.  I’m still wheezing and coughing, and Sue still can’t smell or taste.  She’s going to the doctor because more than three weeks is long enough to not be able to taste stuff.  We haven’t felt much like sewing or quilting but suspect that desire will return soon.

To-Do #2

The Bloc-Loc ruler came out for the trimming of the Cind-erella HSTs.  Well, half of them anyway.  Then just a touch of applique was accomplished on the first of two horses pulling Cind’s coach.

To-Do #3

We didn’t do a darn thing for the 4th of July.  It was too hot and humid for the fireworks, for us anyway.  We stayed inside where it was nice and cool.  Reading and catching up on our DVR’d programs were the most strenuous things we did.

4thJuly

July OMG

Our July OMG (one monthly goal) is to quilt and bind our July OMG is a Harley Happening.  We linked this goal on Patty’s Elm Street Quilts website and linky party.  Now it’s time to busy working on it.

To-Do for the week of July 8th through 14th

  1. Continue appliqueing Cind-erella
  2. Find the fabric for two Fizzy blocks

Our other Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link above or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to.  Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on.  We would love to see them!

Hope you and Sue are feeling much better! Summer sick somehow always seems worse than winter sick. The applique on the Cind-erella quilt is looking so good!

I’m so sorry this virus has hung around so long. That is a long time to not taste anything! I’m glad Sue is going to see the doctor! Getting anything done when you’re feeling yucky is a huge accomplishment!

Well golly gee, how long does it takes these viruses to vacate the premises? Hope you are both back to normal soon!

    Your appliqué is gorgeous…

  6. 3 weeks is way too long. Good luck with your week. I’ll be interested in your thoughs on Bloc Loc. Love the Cinderella quilt.

I hope that you feel better very very soon. I despise heat and humidity — it’s been horrid here too. I need AC! I love the Cinderella steeds — looking forward to seeing the rest of quilt.

  8. quiltinggail says:

Hope that you are both feeling fully recovered SOON!!!

  9. Brenda Ackerman says:

Hello Roseanne, I am sending my prayers that the two of you are feeling better soon. I know what you are going through, earlier this year we had a an outbreak that had people down and out for months. So going to the Doctor is a great choice for Sue and you might want to consider it also. Your projects are looking great. Glad that you are feeling at least a bit like sewing a tad now and then since you are starting to feel better. Thanks for sharing and take care!!

  10. So sorry to hear you’ve been down sick lately…I hope you’re on the healing side now.
    Take care.

  11. Oh my gosh, that appliqué on the horse looks awesome! I really like the effect—so much that I might have to have another go at appliqué! Hope both you and Sue are feeling great soon. Have a great week, Mary.

  12. Vicki in MN says:

Sorry your weather and health weren’t good for viewing the fireworks. It was pretty humid over here, but we still went. Saturday the humidity finally started going down.

  13. Hope you two are feeling better soon!
