Time For An April OMG Project

April showers bring May flowers, the old adage goes.  It’s time to pick our April OMG project, and I’m going to take that adage to heart.  Patty at Elm Street Quilts hosts a monthly link up called One Monthly Goal (OMG).  We have been successfully finishing our monthly projects for over a year.  Thank you to Patty for hosting and her many different vendors for sponsoring the event.

April Project

There were so many different undertakings that we could earmark for our April OMG project.  I was tempted to pick one of the Dr Seuss quilt tops to ensure it was finished.  Another good choice would be our charity Hands 2 Help quilt.  Instead, I am choosing our Spring Showers Table Runner.  After all, it is covered with cute umbrellas to keep us dry during the April showers.

There is a LOT of appliqué pieces to be worked on in the project.  Good thing I enjoy doing appliqué, huh?!!

Project Appliqué

Our April OMG is to appliqué, quilt and finish our Spring Showers Table Runner.  That will be a great accomplishment for month.  And best of all, we will be enjoying and using the runner right away on our island.

Our other Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link above or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to.  Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on.  We would love to see them!

I’ve been reminding myself that going through the rainy days will bring May flowers, your cheerful block makes me happy for that! 😊

Last April I thought I would make an umbrella type block. Never happened. This April I think, I should make an umbrella mini. Will it happen? Maybe a DrEAMi, or a Squirrel?

Good thing you like applique, indeed! Those tiny flowers and leaves have me hyperventilating! but if anybody can giter done, it’s you! And won’t it be perfect to have it ready for use in the correct season?

  11. Well, not the applique queen here, and I have a huge applique store sample I’m working on for my SIL. I hope she hangs it high in her shop – haha! It has been a regular pain to work on.
