Sew Many Pieces, Richfield, Wisconsin
Our last stop on our mini road trip Saturday was at Sew Many Pieces in Richfield, Wisconsin. Right off the interstate, it was very easy to find and worth the stop. A mother and daughter owned shop, we were told how the name came about. One likes to sew/design with many small pieces while the other likes them the bigger the better. The shop has a nice selection of fabric, a HUGE long-arm in their back room and an organized classroom area.
Baby-J Backing
Well, we found the adorable gray and yellow elephant fabric and knew we had to buy it. And use it on the back of Baby-J’s elephant quilt instead of the gray dotted fabric. Our niece’s wedding colors were gray and yellow . . . so it was a sign. ~smile~ We’ll have a bunch of gray dotted fabric leftover but oh well. I imagine we will find another use for it (like those cute storage cubes??)!
Richfield Find
We also found a cute dinosaur book fabric panel that found its way into our purchase pile. I’ll share up-close photos when I start assembling it. These are not scary dinosaurs and their cute expressions need to be shared! I have only made one other fabric book and found that the printed fabric is not very exact or well printed. Hopefully this one will go together better. ~smile~
This shop will also be participating in the 6th Annual Wisconsin Shop Hop. I will be reminding you about it closer to its start on June 2nd.
