SAHRR2022 Stay-At-Home-Round-Robin 2022 Details
Happy New Year – Happy 2022! A SAHRR2022 (Stay-At-Home-Round-Robin for 2022)! What is that and when does it start . . . is that what you’re wondering?!! Did you join us in 2021 so you’re an old hand at how this goes? We are joining up with five of our quilting blogging friends to host a SAHRR starting officially on January 10th. Just one week from today! Typically, a round-robin involves sending your piece off to friends for them to add the next ’round’. Eventually, after all the rounds, the piece would make it back to you nearly complete. In last year’s COVID-era round-robin, all the rounds were sewn and chosen by you. We are back with different rounds and surely different end results. Your mission, if you’d like to join in, is to choose a block that you’d like featured in the center of your quilt. It can be any block you like/love or even hate, for that matter – you’ll be adding six ’rounds’ to feature or highlight it.
SAHRR2022 Hosts in Round Order:
Here are all our blogger friends who will be hosting a SAHRR round each week:
- Anja @ Anja Quilts
- Emily @ The Darling Dogwood
- Us – right here!
- Wendy @ Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life
- Gail @ Quilting Gail (it’s Gail who hosts this fun again this year!)
- Chris @ Chrisknitssews
Handily enough, it’s the same participants (except for Susan) as last year but in a different order. We get to be in spot three which is my lucky number. Woot woot!
SAHRR (Stay-At-Home-Round-Robin) 2022 Schedule:
- January 10: Get your center block ready
- (Anja) January 17: Round 1
- (Emily) January 24: Round 2
- (Us) January 31: Round 3
- (Wendy) February 7: Round 4
- (Gail) February 14: Round 5
- (Chris) February 21: Round 6
- (Gail) March 21: Final SAHRR Parade
Each week will feature a different border or block to be added to your center block. It’s up to you to determine the fabrics used, the size of the border, and whether you will add it to all four sides or less. You might even decide to skip a week! That’s okay – it is, after all, your quilt. Our hosts will share their choices and some tips for your success.
Weekly SAHRR2022 Linky Party:
Additionally, there will be a linky party along the way to encourage you to share your progress. Don’t forget – your first mission is to decide on your center or medallion block. We are all looking forward to seeing your choice. And if it is a block that you hate, you just might end up loving it when all is said and done.
