Royce Quilting, West Bend, Wisconsin
Part of our big sale, mini road trip extravaganza included a stop in West Bend at Royce Quilting. Initially we drove right by because a recent windstorm took down their shop sign. Diligence paid off and we found them! Sue posed for a shot of her in the shop (sorry it’s blurry)!
Baby-J Fabric
Royce quilting had a nice selection of fabric, and some models. To be fair, there was a quilt show going on that weekend so a lot of their models had been shared with the show. We were invited and given directions to go to the quilt show. Although we did not attend the quilt show we were able to find the fabrics for the elephant quilt for Baby-J.
There is a mottled gray for the elephant itself and a linen-like white for the background. A light green dotted fabric for the first border and a dark gray for the outside border and backing rounded out our selections. (The backing was actually changed once we found the fabric in the next quilt shop in Richfield, WI.) We plan to use the light green on the elephant’s ears, too. Here is where I shared a draft idea of our designing a baby elephant quilt, if you’d like to see it.
This shop is participating in the 6th Annual Wisconsin Shop Hop starting June 2nd, 2017. I suspect we will visit again during that time and get a stamp in our ‘passport.’ ~smile~
