Row By Row Experience 2017
Have you heard about the Row by Row Experience™? It began in 2011 with 20 quilt shops across New York State. Today thousands of stores across the US, Canada and Europe welcome travelers through their doors. The quilts created with those rows are stunning… and no two are alike! Although the quilt shops are organized by area, quilters have no borders. Travel, shop, collect patterns and add rows to your quilt from anywhere!
7th Row By Row Experience
This year’s Row by Row Experience runs from June 21 through September 5th for collecting the rows. You can win prizes with your completed quilt until October 31. If you would more details about how you can win, etc. please check the Row by Row Experience website. The shops are planning the new rows, the new lists and maps are being designed, everyone is getting ready to take off on June 21 for Row by Row Experience 2017. Be sure to follow the Facebook page for your area to keep up to date as we go through spring. Simply search in Facebook for Row by Row Experience and the name of your state or province. You will find us there!
We participated in last year’s RBR which had a theme of Home Sweet Home. While visiting on a cruise, we even picked up a kit in Juneau, Alaska. We haven’t done anything with the kit. HAHA In fact, I forgot about it until just now. Hmm, seems like it needs to come out of hiding and make it on one of our to-do lists!
I would encourage you to find your state’s Facebook page for RBR. Here’s a link to Wisconsin’s Row By Row Experience page. Many of the shops that are participating are sharing their row as well as a license plate they design. One made a license plate zip pouch that is SEW cute. ~smile~
Read some of the amazing stories about the rowers (quilters) and Row by Row quilt shops around the world on the Row by Row Studio blog. Even Prince William received a row as a gift! I’ll remind you again, closer to the start date.
We join our friends in Linky Parties for more quilting sharing.
I didn’t know this is the 7th year already! I made one last year for the first time. You can see it here: http://www.graceandpeacequilting.com/2017/05/the-latest-quilt-news.html
I definitely favor the pieced blocks over the applique blocks.
Hi Nancy – I missed your Row By Row when I saw the quilts you shared that day (although there were so many beautiful ones you could see why!). Honorable Mention is nothing to sneeze at. Will you be participating again this year? I know I will be visiting the shops – never know if a quilt will come out of them though. ~smile~ Roseanne
Oh my! Don’t get me started on my Row by Row experience. I still have a half made quilt from 2014 and blocks and kits from 2015. Last year we moved so life wasn’t including more rows. And, I probably won’t acquire any more kits this year. I must use up what I have! Ha. It’s nice to get the reminder that RxR is coming up… who knows I may check out a few places and succumb to the lure of a kit or two.
Hi Bonnie! From what I’ve seen on some of the FB websites . . . you are going to like the rows this year. If I were a gambling person (I am!) I would bet that you are going to want several of the rows . . . and maybe a kit. I kind of forgot about our purchases from last year until I was reminded about it starting up this year. I need to dig them out. ~smile~
