Wish I had been sewing when we visited Bar Harbor!! What a great little town it is. Great memories of lobster dinners and whale watching there.

Oh that must have been such a great trip. I love her quilting on the fireworks quilt and I agree I think you could do it on a domestic machine.

Thanks for the tour of her work. Sounds like a great shop. I doubt I’ll ever again be in the NE, and I’ve never been to Maine at all, one of the few I’ve missed, but should I be mistaken, I will definitely make Bar Harbor a destination and visit this shop. The fireworks is an amazing pantograph, and I know there are people with the skills to do it on a domestic machine. Not me, but someone. =)

25 years ago, Tu-Na Helper and I were in Bar Harbor. I think it’s time we headed back again. Great post!

What fun you had! This is a great way for me to see quilt shops on the East coast! Thank you. And yes, I think the fireworks panto could be done on a domestic machine … but in a smaller scale. The variegated thread is perfect! Happy Quilting! 🙂

  6. I really like both of those quilts — I love seeing what others create!

  8. I missed that shop the day we were in Bar Harbor! Nuts!
