Lee Anna at Not Afraid of Color posts a celebration all of her ‘likes’ for the week on Thursday on her blog.  Loving the idea behind this, I asked if I could join in and share what I love.  I was welcomed with warm, friendly arms!  Maybe you’d like to join us, and link up with Lee Anna?  Check on some of her likes and those of our friends – they will make you ~smile~.  Here are a couple of my loves from recent memory:

Love #1

I love spending time with my family and friends!  LOVE it.  I also enjoy going to the casino with said friends.  We go to a place in SW Michigan and it takes us a little over two hours to get there or more, depending on Indiana and their constant road construction.  The car ride always flies by – so much to chat and laugh about.  This time we made a pit stop at a quilt shop in northern Indiana and hit a couple in Illinois.  Those will be separate posts though.

Love #2

Quilt shop owners are just the best.  Not enough fabric – no worries!  Mail me a sample of what you need and I’ll mail it to you.  Thank you Mary at Quilt Essentials in Oshkosh, Wisconsin!  She saved our Evening Star project from being a bust by mailing the needed blue Burlap fabric.  Are you getting tired of seeing these blocks yet?

Love #3

The people from the quilting community I’ve met are just the nicest peeps ever.  From our friends at Corner to Corner who long-arm for us on the big projects to so many fellow bloggers, they all rock.  I have really made a connection with a few, and I would love to meet them in person.  Or maybe it’s a good thing we don’t meet – it would be instant trouble and shenanigans – you know who you are! ~smile~

Love #4

I think I went one week without mentioning a certain little great-nephew.  WHAT?!! How can that be?!  Yes indeed, I l.o.v.e. this little guy.  No doubt about it.  I’m ready to spoil the heck out of him . . . within reason of course . . . and only in a good way.  Not spoiled rotten!  I cannot believe he is seven weeks already.  Here are a few shots from the pumpkin farm:

Love #5

We had an unexpected surprise of an order from our Etsy shop.  Totally out of the blue – I really never expect to sell anything – someone wants two quilts for her granddaughters.  We have a tight timeline but we will get them done.  It really makes me smile while sewing, thinking about those granddaughters using the quilts.

      Hi Mickie,
I love your name – nanamickie. Thank you so much for your sweet comments. I am pretty partial to that little boy. I imagine he might take advantage of that one day (if I’m lucky). I appreciate your visit so much, and hope you come again. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Shannon! I am not biased at all . . . but I totally agree on him being adorable. Can’t wait to see him tomorrow. And thanks for the Etsy good wishes. It is SO exciting. ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. I had to smile at the thought of the quilters stopping at a quilt shop on their way to the casino. Hopefully you had some winnings to spend on the way back. Glad your business is doing well and that little baby is just so darling.

      Hi Jocelyn,
I know, right?! It truly is ‘right off the freeway’ a mile or two. And we only had to make one turn around. HAHA That’s a success in my book. No, we did NOT win at the casino which is why we hit up more shops – at least we have something to show for our money that way. ~smile~ Roseanne

  5. Your little great-nephew is so cute in his skeleton suit! I agree on the quilting/blogging community. So many wonderful people and a great community to be a part of. Have fun with your Etsy order!

Good stuff to love! I have not had the best experience with quilt shops, but I do have a sewing center that I love. Huzzah for an unexpected order! What fun.

    • Roseanne says:

Hi Sally! I’m sorry you don’t have good experience with quilt shop – there are some really unhappy/mean people out there who should NOT own or work in a shop. Wowee – I have met a few. My only recourse is to not frequent them and to keep my money – no sales for them. ~smile~ Roseanne
