June Bee Hive Jagged Little Pill Block
Happy Birthday to my bestie, Sue! ♥ ♥ Today is her birthday and we will be celebrating all month long. June first is also the announcement of a new Bee Hive block. Susan (not Sue!) is the queen bee this month and her block choice is called Jagged Little Pill.
Jiggedy Jagged
Susan shared a sample of the Jagged Little Pill block and her fabric preferences. This is actually four blocks pictured below.
Can you even imagine how excited I am when I read we get to use Christmas fabrics?!! In June! Some of my favorite Dot, Dot, Dash prints will definitely be making an appearance in this quilt. These fabrics were originally used last year in the I Wish You A Merry quilt along, and they remain favorites although hard-to-get now. Look at how pretty they are!
Ooh-la-la this quilt will be a gem when it’s all put together – I can hardly wait to see Susan’s finish.
Jagged Fabric Choices
Susan sent all of her hive mates the white cornerstone fabric that has little holy sprigs on it.
That will make for some great continuity between all the different blocks Susan receives. The center section of the block measures about 8.5″ so that is a nice area to showcase a holiday print that can be viewed from any angle. I’ll share all the details about which fabrics we end up using for our two blocks later this month.

Years ago, I remember a young man coming into the library where I worked, and wanting to order the CD of that name. Except I couldn’t understand what he wanted, not being down with the kids so to speak. Eventually we got it sorted

I am sorely lacking in Christmas Fabric. In fact, the small amount I had I gave up to our guild’s hospitality group! Oh well, I guess I will just enjoy your Christmas Fabrics!
