I Love Thursday #91 Many Blessings

This is the 91st post of things we love for the week.  We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color.  Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out.  You will surely find something to inspire you.

Thursday

Love #1

Spider plant flowers!  I never had luck with spider plants until recently, but I never knew they flowered.  Did you??  Here is proof in the pudding with some flowers on my spider plant on my desk at work.  I think they are happy where they are living.

Love #2

One fine day!  I forgot to share this picture earlier.  I found it on my phone and had taken the picture back in May.  These are the lovely flowering trees right outside my window at work each year, and they are glorious.  The blue sky and sunshine were nice as well and this tree is home to a pair of cardinals that I also enjoy each morning now that I can open the window.

Fine Day

Love #3

Babies love SOCKS!  First, there was sock boy and now there’s sock girl.  It must run in the family, huh?!  I know these photos could have been in the slideshow below but these are sweet enough to be featured on their own.

Love #4

Rummage Sale!  One last event is being thrown for summer school, and it’s a fundraiser.  We might have a few letters backward, but y’all get the gist.  I’ll have to give you the details next week – toys, books AND games.  Who could pass that up?!  I suspect a big donation will be made.  ~smile~

Rummage Sale

Love #5

Someone just turned six months old on the 4th of July.  And she pulled out all of her festive wear for the occasion.  Addison has to resort to crawling over her brother when he sets himself up as a human wall to the toys.  Ahh, the satisfaction when you get to the toy you wanted, she says.  Dominic wakes up Addison and then they both enjoy the sound machine.  I guess it was pretty darn interesting one morning!  And who doesn’t love that sweet smile Addison is giving her brother, and then he reciprocates to his mother?!  Finally, Dominic has his Cubs hat on and ready for the parade, followed by a nice refreshing dip in grandma’s pool.  He even got to hold the hose and spray grandma a few times until the water was turned off.

Another wonderful Thursday, from spider plants (which I love, and mine have all died now) to the sublime slide show. Such precious sweetness in your lives – love the tree and the sign, and the socks, too. =)

Every.single.picture is my favorite! I know these kiddos are being brought up in a home full of love because they show love to each other and to others. So much sweetness here! I love that you share them with me!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen blossoms on a spider plant. Very cool. I love those sock-eating kids. LOL. That rummage sale sign is awesome.

  6. No wonder you ‘love thursdays’ – so much love is in your life!
Thanks for letting it spill out onto us ‘followers’.

Love your LOVES!!! Spider plants in my home end up the same as any spider I see – dead. 🙁 I love the tree – and with cardinals – so sweet! And your two precious ones – so cute – as always! Your loves bring a smile to my face! 🙂

  8. The kiddos with their socks are so adorable and hilarious! It’s always interesting what will comfort us. 🙂 LOVE the sign for the rummage sale – I hope it went well! Your slide shows are always so fun – that pool looks really inviting!

  9. Hello Roseanne, Your Spider plant is looking spectacular! Mine was last year, this year after I transplanted it, it is looking horrible. No new sprouts and of course no new flowers. We just got some sort of fish fertilizer for plants, flowers and vegetables and hubby will get it mixed up for me and all of my indoor and outdoor plants and flowers will be getting a nice dose and hopefully it will make a great difference. Like you any of the flowering trees make me relax while looking at them as they are so gorgeous. I am glad that you shared this picture today, it just fits the mood for today for some reason. LOL. Love, Love, Love every one of the kiddo pictures! I am so glad that you decided to go ahead and share them. Thanks for the fun post today, have a fantastic day!!

  10. Learn something new here…did not know spider plants had a bloom; I’ve only ever seen the little mini plants. That must be one happy spider plant.
Gorgeous tree blooms framed in the blue!
Of course the little ones are adorable and how sweet together they are.

Your spider plant looks a lot like my disciple plant. It produces (supposedly) 12 blooms a summer. My plant is many plants now! Anyway, did you know if you put those shoots in dirt, they’ll grow more plants? I shared several of mine last year. My plant was given to us by a lady from our church that passed away a few years ago. I know she’d be happy to know I still have that plant!

  12. Rochelle Summers says:

Such great photos off plants, sign and kids. Need a photo of those cardinals!! If it is as hot there as here, that pool (and hose) must feel pretty good. Sister is keeping up with brother quite well!

  13. mary says:

Love those slideshows. I did not know spider plants had flowers-how delicate. I would go to that sale just to meet the kids who wrote that sign. How sweet.
    Great post. mary

I love spider plants! I have one at home and on in my office. I love it when they bloom, but mine do it very seldom, they must not be quite as happy as yours! The kids are so cute- how funny that they like to chew on socks! Have a fabulous week!

  15. lapaylor says:

I had a spider plant with flowers. They are great for offices, I have one in the family room and it survived the trip from MD to CO. Sock babies are just off the adorable meter! Can you believe you are approaching the two year mark for doing like posts???? It’s a good thing!

  16. I don’t remember spider plants moving. We have one plant in the house – not really my forte – hubby has it on the calendar when to water it (every 3 weeks) so I don’t have to think! Great sign once againforthe sale at school and of course the kiddos – love love love.

  17. My morning coffee on Thursday is so much better seeing pics of Addison & Dominic ♥♥ I love your flowering spider plant and the gorgeous tree. Enjoy your day!

  18. Connie says:

As always, the highlight of my week seeing those two sweet ones! They are so great together…can’t remember being that close to my sibs at any point till we “grew up”! As for spider plants, mine used to flower beautifully, then all of a sudden one day it decided it was done with me and slowly died off?? Egads!!

  19. I think your spider plant is happy indeed with all those shoots and now a bloom! The flowering trees are lovely too; what a pretty photo! I notice Little D has apparently stashed the orange donut safely somewhere, since I don’t see little sister with that. 🙂

  20. Vicki in MN says:

I had one of those spider plants years ago and I don’t remember it blooming. I think big brother taught her the sock trick!
