Took me a long time to get to my “sugar” fix this week, but it sure was worth it! Those two little ones just make my entire week…as for coffee, oh don’t even…I have tried so many times to quit coffee…every time, right back at the cup whimpering in a week…

PS…I love me a good poptart too! And I never knew there were actually people on earth that did not like sprinkles…wow!

That is a lotta love there friend! All so wonderful but I must admit, Jaxon’s sweet salute brought a tear to my eye. You have a wonderful family Roseanne. Thank you so much for sharing them with us!

  4. I can’t imagine not drinking coffee! Love the sneakers. They look very comfy. I love Bonnie Hunter! Such an inspiration. I made one of her mystery quilts a few years ago. It was such a great experience. I used so many scraps! I love dogs although I have 2 cats. I guess I like most animals. Thanks for the great post this week!

yes to pop tarts, breakfast of champions! (I toast them) (haven’t had one for years tho) Yes to strong fresh coffee! Yes to Bonnie Hunter and new sneakers. Some people don’t like them to look new, I am very careful to keep them looking new as long as possible! I’ll check out that brand, thanks girl. LeeAnna

Don’t you love that little girl’s flexibility? What a wonderful post of loves this week! You and Sue and her mom can split my share of anything that has coffee in it. =P

  7. Interesting read. Thanks for sharing. It’s super appropriate that a Japanese dog has a Japanese name. And that little guy saluting his g-grandfather–the best!!!

  8. Such a specially packed Thursday filled with blessings. Thanks for the mini-stories.

Wow Dominic is speaking really well for a not yet two year old!! I love that Addison photo with her popsicle toes 😀 Love the photo of Jaxson, it’s nice to see that still happening in the country, it was a mainstay of our childhood. Loving that Sue has joined us on the dark side–Java cheers Sue! Have a great week!

  10. Colette says:

Oh Coffee is my patronus….rofl Sue come to the dark side.OMG the anti sprinkle league had me giggling. In Massachusetts they call them jimmies. I like sprinkles in a sparingly way. I love strawberry pop tarts, but the ones without the frosting, Oh no Dominick no terrible 2’s yet. Great pic of Jaxson placing flags, what a great pic of him saluting his great grandfather’s grave. Oh Miss Addison you are so very cute.

  11. Angie says:

I don’t know what I would do without coffee. I have a serious addiction. And poptarts! A very occasional guilty pleasure … I like sprinkles, so I will have to look for those next time! I am impressed by Jaxson’s effort to place the flags at the graves … a fine young man! Enjoy the rest of your week!

  12. So many things to enjoy reading about in your post today, Roseanne! I especially love the pictures of Jaxson and his dad placing the flags in the cemetery. Coffee every morning is our thing – the best way to start the day, lol! Glad you found some good shoes for your plantar fasciitis – that is definitely no fun. I read Bonnie’s blog daily; she amazes me with her energy, and beautiful quilts, too!

So hard to find a good sneaker. How lovely to find a pair you like. I do Besties and Tea, but it’s still delightful. 😉 Pop tarts – haven’t had one of those in ages, but they were always great in a pinch. Sounds like a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.

I follow a blogger who lives on the Island and she said how nice it was to have better weather this Spring. I have always wanted to go there.

  15. quiltinggail says:

Sure enjoy reading about your “loves”. I get that Sue didn’t drink coffee … I find the stuff utterly horrid! Gross and nausiating … so I stay away from it! I don’t think I’ve ever had a pop-tart … And of course, I love seeing pictures of the little ones! They are so darn cute!
    Happy Quilting! 🙂

Hello Roseanne, It amazes me the various ailments that now have been identified and are being treated compared to even ten years ago. It always makes me think of what people in the past had to go through. I hope that these shoes continue to help you!

I have made a couple of Bonnie’s quilts and had fun using up my scraps in creating them. It has been quite some time since I have even been on her sight though. I now do all of Carole’s Mysteries. Are you doing her Mystery this year? Plus, I am considering doing Pat’s new Summer Quilt Along, the first block was released yesterday. Are you going to do her Summer Quilt Along?

I am a Maxwell House Coffee drinker and drink a lot of coffee. LOL. So a big welcome to Sue for joining the club!!! Holding my cup up for a tap all the way around. Hee, Hee, Hee… This is my favorite way to eat any Pop Tart. Toast them a bit longer for they are a really brown, not burned, around the edges and then put one on a plate and spread butter all across the top adding next Pop Tart and repeating butter then eating with a fork after soaking up the bite first in any butter on the plate. YUMMY!!

I am always so proud of anyone, but especially our young Americans who honor and pay tribute to our Veterans on Memorial Day. I would love it if you would tell your Godson Jaxson that both Kevin and myself, really respect and appreciate what he and his Dad did for those of us who are not able to pay our respects because of disabilities and that when we see a photo and hear a bit of the story it really does mean a lot to us!

The pictures of the kiddos are fabulous! I especially love the toe eating girly! LOL. Thank you for sharing such a fun post with such great information. I was having fun making sure to comment on everything and realized I once again had written a book. LOL. So, off I go to do a bit of quilting before spending the day with my Mom. Have a marvelous day! Smiles and waves are being sent!!!

  17. What a fabulous post starting with that great saying on such a beautiful pieced block. I sometimes come across such shoes online…there seems to be a lot of people with that issue…you are not alone and so glad these neat spiffy ones are working out well. I love the idea of young ones respecting what was sacrificed by so many for our freedoms. Can’t go wrong with teaching those values.
And yes to Sue for drinking coffee nowadays, but no you really shouldn’t be eating pop tarts…LOL says she as she thinks longingly of the bag of giant marshmallows she has in her cupboard!

  18. Pat says:

Good Morning, Roseanne! I love Thursdays. It is such a treat to visit everyone and smile and smile. Bonnie Hunter is my favorite quilty inspiration. We drove to the Vermont Quilt Festival one year just to see her quilts and meet her. I love her quilts, her methods, her scrappyness and her down to earth look at life. Sew Inspiring. I recently decided no more milk chocolate as dark is the only way to go, but I still drink mostly medium roast coffee. Perhaps my turn to the dark side will embrace coffee sometime soon. I do not think it will ever embrace sprinkles on pink pop tarts. My hubs loves them, though. I will pass all silver packages that come to me his way. Thank you for my weekly visit with those little cuties. Addy gets cuter every week. Dominic will be cute even when he is two. Jaxson is an adorable addition this week. Happy Thursday … 🙂 Pat

I am still like some milk in my coffee..oh well..we love what we love! That trip to Mackinac sounds delightful but maybe Bonnie should do it later in the year. The thing that saved my PF was clogs one day, sneakers the next. It worked. I usually get abeo sneakers and don’t have a problem. Do you read “Barking Dog blog”? That is how I keep an eye out for good brands – I will add this to the list. Ever since PF I had to stop running – never was good at it but always thought I’d weigh less if I could do that!!

  20. Denise says:

Such a great post, you had me chuckling. I’m a secret Cookies and Cream poptart eater.

  21. I can’t imagine packing up all my sewing stuff to get to Mackinac — it exhausts me to think about it. My hubby has PF and is always looking for good shoes; I should check Kuru for him. Yay for Sue, coming to the dark (and yummy) side of coffee! Woohoo! Fresh roasted, dark, thank you! Yum! Being a cat person, the dog is cute, I guess. 😉 Did you know you can make pop tarts (maybe healthier, maybe not?) – haha! The kiddos are cuties, of course!
