I Love Thursday #262 Numerous Blessings

This is the 262nd post of things we love for the week. We post each Thursday along with LeeAnna from Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share every week – be sure to check them out as you will surely find something to inspire you. “From the fullness of His grace, we have all received one blessing after another.” John 1:16

February already!! What the heck.

Love #1

Racine Lighthouse on Lake Michigan. Another winter photo but this is just an amazing one, don’t you think?! It’s like God has his hand on this. Are these sundogs? I think so . . . but maybe not. Anyway, on one cold morning, this is the sunrise over Lake Michigan which was much warmer than the air temperature.

Lizards! Just a little winter weather humor along with some misspellings. Isn’t the word lizard spelled with only one “z”? HAHA! In one week we had 27″ of snow, 1″ of ice, sleet/freezing rain, major fog, rain, and now lizards. I can’t even ask, what next?! I’m not sorry that January is behind us.

Love #3

Wealth or heart! This seems to fit quilters quite well. Giving money is helpful and almost anyone can do it. But giving of your heart . . . well, that seems like an even more valuable gift. Spreading the heartfelt love in every stitch is priceless. Carry on my quilting friends!

Love #4

Angels singing! I must have had a lot of people in my life who like to sing because I constantly wake up with a song in my head. During the night, I wake up singing one song, and usually by morning, it’s a different song. My angels are quite busy but I love that they are singing me to sleep.

Love #5

Our littles . . . another big busy week. Colt, Maverick, and Momma wanted to show that they cherish the weekend time together despite her being back to work. Much better than the picture I shared just two weeks ago when there were thumbs-downs. It looks like Mav is wondering what the phone thing is! Our crew received a care package from my friend, Chris at Chris Knits & Sews. Addison is ALWAYS happy to pose for a picture. Colt doesn’t mind, either, and the blue in this hat matches his eyes perfectly. Finally, all four of them together, at one time, with the hats on and almost all of them looking at the camera. It’s like herding cats, I swear! A Motley Crew although I call them AC-DC.

Gamma’s 59th birthday was celebrated over the weekend. How she got to be 59 is beyond me. I remember the two of us washing dishes together at Thanksgiving, and she was only a teen. How did we get here?! Anyhoo – Maverick is happily chillin’ like a villain by Gamma. Shortly after this picture was taken (seconds!!), he had his pants off. That baby runs HOT. I managed to get one picture of the birthday singing. Darn it. I wanted to get a picture of everyone present but that didn’t happen. Speaking of Maverick, he turned THREE months already and he rolled over for Gamma while she was working. His Momma and I have yet to catch him in the act, but here’s proof that he has indeed figured out how to roll over. Auntie Rose tried a selfie with the volume-up button. Not our best look, ‘eh Mavy?! Finally, Mavy says have a fabulous Thursday, please!

  1. Yep, yep those are classic sundogs! LOL on the Lizzard warning. 😀 Is Gamma your daughter? Whoever she is, she is beautiful, and she does not look 59, (which is still a baby in my book btw). Your Littles are adorable, especially in those hats. I’m coming up with a few projects for our Littles this coming weekend. 😉

  2. What a treat to see those lovely kids! That weather one is so funny…only calm weather in our forecast but we know here there will be more snow yet. That lighthouse photo is beautiful…can’t beat nature. Thanks for showing us and thanks as always for the great Thursday post.

OMG, they are a Motley Crew for sure!! But I know you love every bit of their Motleyness!! LOL. Thanks for the pics, I love those noggins covered in my hats. And Mav, oh my, that last photo looks just like Colt.

  4. Loving all the loves, today!! Yes, those are sundogs and what a COOL picture!! I noticed Gamma had on a USS Midway shirt! My brother served on the USS Midway in the 70’s! Love seeing that shirt! All the littles are looking not so little! They grow up too quickly!

OMG! Beware of the lizzards! I’m constantly seeing misspellings everywhere, especially on the TV. Drives me crazy. Might be my upbringing — my mother loved literature and the English language. Lol! Have a great week!

  6. Lizard Warning! Love it! Aren’t those cute hats from Chris, too? Please tell Gammy that 59 is still just a baby. I’m going to be 70 this year – now how did that happen?

  7. Sally says:

Sundogs! So cool. Leaping lizards! My angel has a thing for Caravan Palace. LOL. Fun likes, all around.

That lighthouse photo is awesome. I haven’t heard the term “sundogs” but it suits. Lizzards??? Wonder what that was about? I don’t think I hear music in my sleep unless I”ve got an ear worm going on. The photos of the littles are great. I have a couple of old photos of me and my siblings lined up next to the front door with new PJs on. Little Maverick, and I use that term loosely, is certainly trying to catch up with the rest of the gang!! Here’s hoping for a great weekend for all of you. Hugs, my friend. Smile.

  9. Vicki in MN says:

Fabulous light house pic! Wow I didn’t know you had 27″, that’s a bunch :0 Almost the weekend, have a good one.

  10. Wendy says:

I call those sundogs, and agree that is a fantastic photo! And lizards – gah, if ice and snow weren’t bad enough! Haha! Those littles in those hats – so cute!

  11. Kate says:

Lots of fun things to be thankful for, except maybe the weather you’ve had this January. Hopefully the worst is over and it will warm up a bit. Love the picture of the lighthouse, that is stunning! Have a wonderful week.
