I Love Thursday #253 So Many Blessings
This is the 253rd post of things we love for the week. We post each Thursday along with LeeAnna from Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis ā be sure to check them out as you will surely find something to inspire you. “From the fullness of His grace, we have all received one blessing after another.” John 1:16

Rainbow Fall! It’s an amazing time for color in the northern hemisphere and it’s just amping up. A friend took this picture in mid-September. Isn’t it gorgeous?!! These are colors we try to emulate in our quilts but God does it best.

Love #2
Let it go! There are so many things we cannot change, but I think it takes us a long time to fully realize and accept that. I find that I am much better at letting things go. Is it old age or wisdom? Beats me but it certainly makes me less stressed! Woot woot.

Love #3
Train display! This weekend, a nearby nursery is having a Fall Train Festival. There are miles and miles of train tracks and oodles of gauge “G” trains set up for the public to enjoy. Dominic and Chase (and possibly Colt, too) are enthralled by trains. On Sundays, we can hear the whistle blow three short blasts as they near a train crossing. We discuss whether the train is heading to Chicago (south) or Milwaukee (north). The train display is set up year-round so we will miss the Festival due to soccer. The train pictured below is a Superman-themed car.

Love #4
Sing a song! Rather fitting in honor of the little ditty written last weekend by myself, Laura, and Laura honoring the remaining days of 2023. And also for Rochelle, who loves to sing as she walks. ~smile~ I have very fond memories of singing with my Dad when I was a kid. He could really carry a tune and whistle well, which was very impressive to the young me. Just 95 days to go before the end of the year, in case you were wondering.

Love #5
Our littles . . . are enjoying the last few days of summer. At least officially it is over, but there’s still time to enjoy a swing. Addison, Chase, and Colt love feeling the wind blowing in their hair. Colty has no problems making it through the puzzle maze. Auntie Sue held a bingo session that had all four of them checking their card for a match! Later, Auntie Sue held an informal math class, teaching the 10-frame concept. Finally, Colt caught a ball at the Cubs game. Gamma held on to his popcorn while he clutched it and smiled for the camera. Sweet little hamster!
Happy Thursday to you! Bye for now.

Lovely post as always. SO many great quotes and such truth. I adore that photo of the leaves. I am a big train fan myself and just look at those happy kiddies. Puts a smile on my face every time.
Wonderful group of loves all the way from the beautiful leaves to the smiling faces of the kids. Great job for Colt catching that ball. Trains have always been fun here with the grands. Started with the first one with a Thomas set and picked up more along the way until they took over the house. And then one day, BAM. Trains were totally out and “hand-helds” were in. The train sets went to a friend with young grands. It’s a toss up as to who loves them more – the kids or their dads and grandpa!! Thanks for the smiles and enjoy that soccer game.
Incredible leaf colours…just beautiful! Still not as beautiful as Colt’s smile with the baseball…bravo! LOL Love seeing the little one’s smiles…all of them so happy…Fall is my favorite season…the whole world is cool and refreshing! Just like your posts…thank you!
Fall colors are thinking about starting. I look forward to them! Some things are easier to let go than others… Model trains are fun – I have a friend that has a whole set through his garden. And singing is good stuff. So many great likes!
Hi Roseanne! lovely post
LeeAnna
Those leaves are beautiful, Roseanne – your friend got a great photo! My favorite song is “Let it Go!” I sing it all the time when I need to let something go. Congratulations to Colt for getting that ball at the game!
Love the rainbow leaves. We finally saw some red and gold on our walk yesterday…but it does go fast. Hooray for Colt catching the ball at the game – always a thrill!
A rainbow gathering of leaves – how cool is that?! You’ve had some fun things going on this week!
Those leaves are fantastic! What an awesome photo! Our leaves are beginning to turn a little…mostly yellow right now. I love the colors of fall! And yes!! Singing definitely is a love. I always have a tune in my head and heart…and it sometimes makes it way out of my mouth! LOL I love trains too, except when I get stuck on the road by one stopped on the track – no fun there!
