I Love Thursday #194 Blessings Galore

This is the 194th post of things we love for the week. We post each Thursday along with LeeAnna from Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out as you will surely find something to inspire you. “From the fullness of His grace, we have all received one blessing after another.” John 1:16

Just for Wilbs! My friend, Wendy, has an adorable kitty named Wilbur who is affectionally known as Wilbs for short. I have been sharing some dog memes lately and not cute kitty ones. While these cats aren’t nearly as cute as Wilbs, it did crack me up seeing that little Pomeranian pretending he fit right in. Someone looks quite crabby about it, though, don’t they?!

Love #2

Dude! There’s a mirror! This dog looks guilty as all get out, doesn’t he?! I’m certain his owner went in, expecting to have a chat about his behavior with him, once he was found. And then – who the heck can not laugh when seeing him ‘hiding’ right in front of a mirror. Did I mention that I love dogs?!!

Quilt collection! Our local quilt shop, Sew and Save, collected quilts and blankets for the Afghan refugees that had to flee from Afghanistan recently. Over 13,000 ended up in Wisconsin and they have just begun leaving for more permanent placements. Since most had to flee with only the clothes they were wearing, the need for just about everything is high. We were happy to be able to donate a few quilts along with a box of hats sent from my friend in Arizona. Also included in the brief story that made it in our local newspaper is a touching story about Ruth. Ruth was diagnosed with dementia two years ago and had to give up sewing. Last Friday, Ruth worked diligently on sewing a donation pillowcase. God bless you, Ruth!! I just want to hug her and talk about her quilts, etc. (Photos from the Journal Times.)

Dominic, Addison, and Chase went to their first Trunk or Treat last week. It appears that Dominic made quite a haul and he is enjoying one of the suckers that were given to him. Their town hosted an Autumn Fun day and D wistfully looked at the goats. Never fear, they came right over to see if he had any treats for them. Nothing but a good pet and pat but he wasn’t afraid! It wasn’t long before he was smiling and riding a pony. That’s his sister on the light-colored pony. Addison wasn’t so sure about the whole experience. She rode the pony but there was no goat petting for her. Yuck. Smelly.

Addison says, It’s A Girl’s World. That may be true but while she was all ready to go with Gamma and Momma for a walk Saturday morning, she was left behind. Why??!! She would have had her shoes on in a blink. Colt allowed GG to drop Elmo into his bucket while he and Oscar watched. Hmm. GG, they really need to be standing on the lid of the bucket, like this. He’s getting so big!! He’s as tall as Addison now but 10-months younger. Meanwhile, Chase had to make sure Addi was “driving” his car correctly. Is that how we sit in the car?! Legs over the side and the door open?!! Lastly, Addison heard there were 8-month pictures to be taken. She happily smiled and held the stuffed lion. Once Chase got into the chair there was a noticeable difference in the stuffed animals. Hmm, I wonder who might have taken most of them?!! Addison! Chaser says, Happy Thursday to you.

  3. Hi Roseanne. Is there anything not on your list this week? Generous donations of quilt for Afghan refugees, a heart warming story of a woman making a pillowcase, memes, silly dogs, cute kitties and your Littles enjoying their lives and bringing smiles to all of us. Thankyou my friend for the perfect post. 😄

  4. How wonderful to collect quilts for the refugees! What a great idea! The Pomeranian trying to fit in with the cats is hilarious! I’m sure the kids are looking forward to Halloween! Poor dog! He definitely did something wrong!

The cat meme is awesome. The littles had an awesome time. I don’t blame Addison goats are stinky. When my sister was little we went to a place called Wildlife safari, and they had a petting zoo with goats, deer, etc. Anyway a pygmy goat butted her down, my sister stood up and bit the goat. Have a fabulous Halloween!

  8. Loved the cat meme with the spy! So cute! It is so great that you donated quilts for the refugees, Roseanne. And the smile in D’s face when he is riding the horse – priceless! Always fun to see what your littles have been doing this week.

Thanks for the smiles today. Those memes are just to cute. But the quilt collection and Ruth making a pillowcase made my heart turnover. Those littles are certainly full of life. Looks the cool weather has hit Wisconsin! Chase’s smile summed it all up. Its our admission day weekend this weekend with a parade on Saturday. School is out tomorrow (not that it impacts me!). Hope you have a wonderful weekend and get some time with the kiddos.
